Government policy absolutely creates jobs, it sets the environment for businesses to grow, start up and therefore, employ people. Businesses need to be confident in their employment practices. If it had been higher unemployment figures, I'm sure the naysayers would have blamed Labour. Hypocrisy.

Myself and 20 + graduates worked on this - looking forward to it being released!

I like Starmer, but you can only play that card once. Now he looks incompetent. The Labour Party appointed Mandelson for his circle of friends, thinking it would help US/UK relations - they all hung out with Trump and his cronies. Kemi & Farage congratulated the appointment, more weak judgment.

Shit excuse, but I didn't see the word "growth". ๐Ÿ™„๐Ÿ˜ฌ

Ahh confusion. I was replying to use of my dog as a photo and my default bsky name. I assume he thought I was a bot.

I didn't say I was enjoying the 0.5 % upturn, I was hoping for a maturer analysis. The Green Party doesn't need to play "Party politics". It can acknowledge the good and bad, and set itself apart from the other parties. Seek consensus but challenge important issues. It doesn't need to be Reform.

Patronising - the person who said I was bullshitting? Facts my dear boy. Don't be a reform voter. I provided a different scenario to you. You called bullshit. That's what happened.

My responses are limited by character constraints. Would you like me to share my complete financial status? A 0.5% growth is positive. If it were -0.5%, I'm sure the Greens would highlight it! Does this indicate we're better off? Not necessarily! But it's still an improvement over negative news.

Yep, that's the Tories who were to blame for that. They should send the CEOs of those water companies to prison.

We invested in decarbonising & removing these types of shocks from our household budget. U should have been smarter. If you want to enjoy your hard-earned cash by spending it down the pub, that's up to you. But don't whine when others can ride out the storm because of a bit of forward thinking.

E.On evening EV tariff went from 8.5p per KWh to 3.99p per KWh, IN April (from 12am to 6am). Charging more than halved. My Battery storage has also meant I pay 9x lower that the standard rate during the date. Oh, and my Solar means I push back to the grid, so we also earn a bit of money.

To hold them to account when even good things happen? Was it not "a good news story"? I have no issue with the government being held to account, but this Reform-based populist politics is just tiring and immature. It's lazy. It turns many people away from politics &, sadly, from voting.

My electricity bill has halved thanks to the energy cap & a time-of-use tariff. We eat less meat, cook more at home, & drive an electric car, though my wife still uses a petrol one. We've sacrificed holidays to reduce fossil fuel reliance. I appreciate not everyone can but we made sacrifices.

I'm quite enjoying it, you?

Agreed that it's one of many factors. Problem is, if all our economic factors are pointing downwards then you know it's bad. Currently we have a mixed set of stats.

We'll disagree on what constitutes 'helping' in Iran.

Wow. Reform voters 100%

Can someone link to the story, I think I missed this.

What do you think of the 0.5% growth, Zack? Do you ever comment on good news? I considered voting for the Greens, but lately, you're all so negative. The current government didn't invade Iran - sending prices spiralling, nor ruin our economy & relations with Europe. Maybe target those who did!

That would have been at least 1.5% if we were members of the EU.

Yep, that's what Brexit created. Why are we surprised?

Jeez, he says the same shit every week, and the markets eat it up. Just how incompetent are these people?

Mail is running a poll on whether the UK should rejoin the EU.

Takes seconds to vote and it's going hilariously well...
