I doubt it. Even if cannabis gained wider acceptance, they still probably wouldn't do it. I don't think they have a tobacco plant.

I think in order to justify making a TTRPG out of this there needs to be something mechanically unique and the Spartan's regenerating shields aren't really enough for that.

A lot of that can be found in any number of sci-fi settings. I'm working on a setting for Starfinder2E that has everything on that list except for the annoying AI balls. Mass Effect has all of those elements.

Sure it might be as good as a rogue in martial combat, but it isn't as good as a fighter. If a spellcaster can't match the fighter in weapon usage then it isn't a good gish. Don't you know spellcasters are supposed to be good at everything? Otherwise they suck. Characters can't have weaknesses./s

I think the need for session 0 has less to do with the game and more to do with how long the campaign is going to be. You can skip session 0 for a 1 session adventure, but if you plan to be playing for months, you had better make sure the party works well together.

I can't help but notice that there is a lot of overlap between people who think Inventor sucks and people who think Int needs to be treated as a dump stat so that you don't have to have a low saving throw. They want a character with no weaknesses and end up with one that has no strengths.
