On February 19, 1942, President Franklin D. Roosevelt signed E.O. 9066, authorizing the forced relocation & incarceration of more than 125,000 Japanese Americans, solely because of their heritage.

Just finished a stint of 5 paintings in two weeks and man, NONE of these came easily.

Panel 3: The sounds of traffic explodes such that Hypatia jumps in auditory overload! Panel 4: Recovering from the auditory explosion from the traffic jam of the day, sighs, “I hate rush hour!”

That’s such a good idea! I use page templates as well, but drawn on another piece of paper and I use a light table to transfer them to thicker paper. Templates are so useful.

Panel 3: Pierce, heavily contemplating what Hypatia said to him, "Mmmmm..." Panel 4: Pierce exclaims with the enthusiasm of finding pure gold, "You mean like this?" Hypatia screams, "EWWW PIERCE!!! NOT LIKE THAT!!!" after Pierce, lifting his leg like a dog, and with a stream of pee so powerful, that it bounces off the wall of the house where Pierce was peeing on, and soaks poor Hypatia!

On a nice and sunny day in the backyard, Mileva and Pierce sit together on the grass and watch as their mother walks by. Panel 1: Pierce says, "There goes mom." Panel 2: Pierce thinks to Mileva, "I wonder what mom is making for dinner tonight?" Panel 3: A nice moment of silence among these two kitties. Panel 4: Mileva abruptly says out of nowhere, "I'm calling the police on that lady!" Shocking Pierce!

Darwin utters his usual, baby-goat like commands. "Darwin! You want some of what I'm eating?" Panel 2: Darwin's father responds, "I don't think you'd like this anyway". Darwin enthusiastically says, "Wah!" Panel 3: Darwin's dad gets up from his chair, "Let me get your baby kitty food." With emphasis the word, your. Panel 4: Darwin's dad returns. "Darwin..." Darwin's father says with a sigh as his kitty son helps himself to a good portion of his dad's food, using his father's fork and knife, like the fine gentleman that he is. "It tastes good to me!" And life goes on.
