As CONVENTION SEASON begins in earnest, I wanted to offer some advice to anyone who is just starting-out in this industry. Having all this stuff in one place, in manageable file sizes, that is easy to send, will prevent con organizers from using badly-googled images of you or work for promotion.

I’m, for sure, NOT the first artist to do this kind of image, but this is a funny coincidence 😝

These two Tom Whalen posters have sat above my work desk for more around a decade - I got to meet Sid & Marty when I bought them (and randomly, Breckin Meyer was the person in front of me in line). Sid & Marty Krofft were a key ingredient to my young artistic sensibilities. RIP Sid Krofft

I know I say this a lot, but, whenever possible, you should hand-letter your display text. Nothing worse than a cold, hard font clashing with the art to take you out of a story.

Since I pilfered the old strap for my new bag, I got a new strap for my guitar. I think this is a better match.

I bought a new bag recently and, though I love the bag, the strap was lacking. So, after an hour of cutting, sewing, drilling, and hammering-in rivets, I was able to repurpose the original leather strap to attach a more comfortable guitar strap to the bag. Much happier now!
