As seen in profile, a bearded aboriginal man of middle years sits with legs crossed on a perch of orange rock. He stares determinedly across flat barren plains topped by a beautiful blue sky. Breaking the upward sweeping pattern of wispy clouds, the contrail of a heavenly object arcs to the ground. Painted in indigenous style, its downward trail continues in the pictographs painted on the rock above the man. The surrounding art is a mix of decorative shapes and narrative elements. At the edge of the rock, above the contrail, a figure falls with arms and legs flailing. The older man holds a boomerang while several more rest on the stone near him. Beside him sits a boy with eyes cast dreamily upward as he grips a spear with the butt resting against the stone. Both are bare chested, wearing only loincloths.

Acrylic on Gessobord - 22” x 22”
Commissioned out of the blue by a Japanese firm for a calendar. I never learned how the company got my name or contact info. After providing a summary of what they wanted me to explore, they left me to it. 1/2

Doctor to patient: "Try to reduce your stress level, and if you somehow succeed please let me know how in God's name you did it."
I thought this felt relatable

I know of one artist, at least, who folded because some of the earliest generative A.I. stole their style. Then they were accused of using A.I.
Again - what a shit show.

Michael Moorcock wrote novels over long weekends. Short & pulpy, yes. But still.
Now the A.I. danger swings the other way, where A.I. is assumed when someone *is* doing the work.
What a shit show.

Drawing on gray paper with black and white ink. A giant cat in a giant sort of inner tube floaty device is splashing on the sea and creating huge waves that are in the process of sinking a few yachts as if they were toy boats. The moon in the sky wears a captain’s hat and has a pipe and is amused by the spectacle.
The latest giant cat drawing. I am not sure it’s done, but I call it “Yacht Club.“

The average person doesn’t give a fuck if AI has some niche use where it actually excels if used properly. In fact, that is what a tool is *supposed* to do and none of us will have a problem if it is used like that. What we see is AI fucking up real life in a massive way.

A drawing on gray paper with black and white inks. A gigantic cat sleeps curled up in the remains of the Roman Colosseum as if it were a cat bed. The cat snuggles with a sleeping contented moon in its arms.
Another one of my giant cats, “when in Rome…”
Original is sold, but I am working on having prints of this series available sometime soon.

A drawing on gray paper in black and white ink and paint. a gigantic white cat sits on a cliff with a lighthouse and a stormy sea. She is batting at the lighthouse as if it were a toy to be knocked off the edge. A crescent moon looks worried, and there is a ship on the sea approaching.
Another one of my giant cat drawings. Hoping to have some print on demand print available soon. But it’s been a nutty few weeks/month/decade.

And it used generative A.I., which is a blasphemy itself as far as I’m concerned.

J.D. Vance appears surprised that America's foreign policy of being violent, greedy, selfish, untrustworthy, and unpredictable makes negotiation difficult 🤷♂️.

In an age of creeping relativism, a universal moral law still exists.
Threatening to end an entire civilization of 90 million people in order to bend a nation’s conduct to your will is grossly morally wrong. It is evil. And we should say this loudly.

Corp media will now gladly carry on with their normalizing & sane-washing, but the line was already crossed in his words today. We're not a functional country with a madman holding the keys to annihilation. He's a global threat, and anyone who says otherwise is part of the threat. Call your reps.

A drawing in black and white ink on gray paper of a tremendous cat in a mountain setting, larger than the mountains, and holding the moon up to its wide open mouth as if it’s about to eat it. The face on the moon indicates the moon is distressed by this.
Hey! After an extended period of getting signed out & just not bothering to sign back in again, I have signed back in again!
S’up?
I’ve been dealing w/ massive autistic burnout exacerbated by the anxiety of life in these times & drawing gigantic cats doing things such as eating the moon.
