The first panel shows a crow with the title "How to live a good life". The second panel shows a crow cawing at itself in the mirror with the subheading "Make friends". The next panel says "Explore" and shows a crow looking into a commercial waste bin. The next says "Try new things" with a crow eating something vile. The next one says "Be curious" and shows the crow grabbing a hissing cat's tail". The final frame says "Get a hobby" and shows the crow looking closely at a book of matches.

Greeting card surprise
Sending in my zines today!
This is a cathartic, reflective personal zine in which I revisit the topic I wrote about extensively years ago.
Thus, I have anchored the photographs with written reflections so that the two can enhance each other. These photos and reflections do not capture everything, but offer six snapshots of my experiences with gender and gendered Othering.
In this zine, I have used photography to capture the complexity of my relationship with my gender. Pictures can say what words cannot. However, I am a writer first and foremost, and I still believe in the power of words even while I acknowledge their limitations.
I am non-binary. I am genderfluid. I am queer. These are words, and words are limited.
Photograph of a collage on a wall, taken through a window, composed of various comic panels featuring illustrations of women and a few men. There is a reflection in the window of Sage's legs and snow in the bottom half of the photo. White text with a transparent black background in the centre reads, "Six Snapshots of the Gendered Other".
New zine, new zine!!

Photo of Sage standing in a room with Halloween and birthday decorations and a tiny piano. They are wearing blue leggings, rainbow shorts, a black shirt with a leather jacket, and a blue cowboy hat with a serious expression on their face as they stare at the camera.
I went to da club.
I just got a notice from my bank that they're going to start charging interest on interest, which sounds like something from a dystopian sci-fi novel. Though to be fair, we're living in one.
Yes! Of a life well enjoyed.
I actually like wrinkles, especially fine lines around the eyes, and I think it's a shame we're so scared of them as a culture. Aging is cool.
I just finished watching Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen, and damn, it made me feel things. The writers definitely had a lot to say...
Yes, a fun and spooky game!
i’m sorry but i just can’t seem to not post pictures of my cats
Oooh, neat! I've played the game, but didn't realize there was a movie. Will definitely check this out!
A notebook on a wooden tray with the cover text: "HOPE DOESN'T FIND US. WE MAKE HOPE THROUGH ACTION & STRUGGLE.
This is a lovely handmade notebook. 50% of the proceeds are donated to Chicago Freedom School. So you get a great notebook and you help support youth activists in Chicago too! www.blackbirdletterpress.com/limited-edit...
FYI, Star Trek was never subtle about its politics. Having Black, Russian, and Asian crew members treated with respect was a political choice for a show in the 1960s.
You're just mad the needle has moved beyond the issues of your day.
It should be illegal for companies to make you wait on hold for 30+ minutes without allowing you to provide a callback number WHAT DO YOU MEAN I HAVE TO LISTEN TO YOUR HOLD MUSIC ALL MORNING
Photo of a black-and-white long-haired cat on a table with his tongue sticking out in a silly way and a human hand petting him.
Photo of a black-and-white long-haired cat balanced precariously on the back of a black gaming chair while looking slightly concerned at the camera.
I love him SO MUCH.
And yes, this is the zine I made all the way back in December but only had time to digitize and publish it today. 😅
I added a new zine to my shop!
This is an 8-page handmade perzine that combines stream-of-consciousness writing and collage to reflect on life, penguins, music, dreams, and returning home.

So pu'er tea is pretty good. It seems to have a high caffeine content, but it's easy on my body. A good alternative to green and black tea, I think.
I know some trek does explore some of this, but I've always felt like they could take it wayyy further.
"If you were in charge of star trek, what would you do?"
So much gender fuckery! Look at how much the concept of gender has changed for humans in the future. Explore alien species' that have no concept of gender, have millions of genders, and embody gender in ways we cannot comprehend.
It’s a perfect thirtieth birthday present for the franchise, reminding us that Trek isn’t about nerds watching the Romulans and the Federation shoot at each other — it’s about being cool and stylish and funny. In space. With great hair.

Has anyone else noticed that all the clothes in the mall have gotten really boring?
