They took the checking exercise away from RM, tried to launch their own service, which couldn’t handle the load.

Then had a mix-up with NCFE (fault unclear) and used a unit grade in their overall grade calculations instead of the overall grade, thus rendering the progress 8 calculations incorrect.

DfE CYPMD deadline extended to 7th November and publication of performance tables delayed.

Just the nature of those schools in particular means you might legitimately have variance in how you engage with the students, different start times for different groups and so forth and the new rules don’t lend themselves to that.

The new attendance rules are causing a data farce which is especially exacerbated in Special and Alternative Provision settings.

One word Ofsted judgements scrapped.
