I've now fallen down a blackhole of searching for research on this. 😂😅 I think fortified iron isn't quite as magnetically efficient as elemental iron, but yeah, it does have enough iron in it to pull it out with a magnet (if you crush it up first). I feel the brewings of an experiment... 🤔🧲🥣

I think the cornflake would need to be made out of iron filings to be lifted by the magnet, but I feel like this is a calculation that is worth looking into! 😆

Happy to announce I accepted a #postdoc at SickKids Hospital in Toronto for Spring 2026! I'll be continuing my work on paediatric brain tumours (MRI). Things feel more real now that we've booked our flights (including for our cats) and sold our flat! 😱⚛️🧲🧠🧑‍🔬🧪🎉
