Roller derby performances always feel special, because that community was my home for many years. I also love playing in the Starlight Parade! The energy of large crowds is incredible, and hearing people cheer for us never gets old.

I fell in love with LRSD the first time I saw them perform at a Rose City Rollers bout. Their catchy beats, powerful rhythms, ultra-cool look, and showmanship hooked me instantly, and I knew I wanted to be a part of it! Sixteen years later, and I have zero regrets.

Band nickname: “Demon” is the name on my jacket. It comes from my roller derby name “Carpe Demon”. Roller derby is what introduced me to LRSD, and my history with both communities is closely connected. I chose to use that name on my jacket.

After moving to Portland I attended the Starlight Parade. When LRSD came around the corner, they ended up stopping right in front of where I was sitting, and they started playing. I jumped out of my seat. They were the most badass band i've ever heard.
