I went to a WWDC in about 2011, saw a Jobs keynote and chatted with the Safari team there among other things. Everything then felt so exciting and optimistic. It’s so sad that now the technology is leaps and bounds ahead but there's somehow this curse hanging over everything.

I’ve not tested that. I would guess YouTube serves its ads through the same domain as the video you want – or even as part of the same stream, so it’s probably difficult to block them.

Repurposed an old Intel Mac Mini as a Linux server running 13’s and my Minecraft world. Also got Pi-Hole on there blocking ads for the whole house, and Homebridge for IoT devices to work from Apple Home (handy for CarPlay!)

I wonder if you could analyse the writing style in emails where the sender is redacted and cross correlate that with messages from known senders, and get a reasonable statistical likelihood of who each email is from.
