This is true. Wars are indeed Foggy and unfortunate accidents can and do happen. However, the explicit targeting of civilians is morally wrong. But I think we have to be willing to see that it's wrong even when our side does it too.

And just to get everyone in tune. In my original post I was actually talking about the U.S. bombing the girl's school in Iran (again, no clean hands), but your reply seemed to suggest that such things can be justified and that took us down this rabbit hole. Anyway, killing civilians = wrong.

No. I expect them not to kill little kids. Israel and Palestine have their problems and no one has clean hands. But killing kids is not only wrong morally but tactically. Israel gained nothing, and gave Palestine 180 martyrs to avenge.
