O documento institui o Concurso Dom Phillips e Bruno Pereira de Jornalismo e Comunicação em Defesa do Meio Ambiente, Povos Indígenas e Comunidades Tradicionais — homenagem directa ao jornalista britânico e ao indigenista brasileiro assassinados na Amazônia em 2022. O concurso é promovido no âmbito das Medidas Cautelares 449-22 da CIDH e tem como objectivo reconhecer trabalhos de jornalismo investigativo, comunicação popular e educação midiática voltados à protecção ambiental e aos direitos indígenas. A selecção será regida pelas Leis nº 14.600/2023, 15.263/2025 e 14.133/2021, entre outros normativos. Trata-se de um acto simbólico e institucional relevante, que transforma os nomes de Dom e Bruno em referência permanente de política pública.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
