The reference to the map wasn't fixed in any FAQ, and without the map it's quite hard to play the scenario, although I imagine that many players would have made up their own.
But it means that apart from the developers and playtesters, no one has ever played this scenario as the authors intended.
Someone on the BFG Discord went back and checked the original version published in 2004, and the error is there too!
In the process of formatting the text I have come across an error in one of the scenarios for the Third Armageddon War that no-one seems to have noticed in the 22 years since it was originally published: it mentions a mysterious missing map!
I scratched an itch, and created a web-based version of the BFG Remastered rulebook so I could use it on my phone. It's still a work-in-progress, but is already pretty usable after a few hours' work: jodrell.github.io/bfg/
