Not from what I've seen. I see this frequently with videos that are a mix of lets play & review or compiled streams. It's an editing style to make the video easier to watch, but I retain my point that they should at least use music from the game during pivotal story moments 😔
Also I'm specifically talking about videos with live commentary of actual gameplay and cutscene segments that should have featured music made for the game... Instead the viewers get to hear Persona track 208 for the 90th time this week. (There are some content specific exceptions obv)

it sucks that itchio and steam allow these games on their platform at all. Sure, it's nice that they have to be tagged (which I'm sure many aren't) and I know that itch doesn't have the manpower to properly execute a full ban, but I want better of steam. Also since I tend to make cute but scary games, this one is not. There is one scene that's a little scary if you're scared of spiders, but the game has a bugphobia mode that hopefully fixes that haha (This screenshot shows what the flies look like with bugphobia turned on, the spider looks similar)
This was originally a projection mapping assignment for my last winter semester, but I added some new content over the past week and polished it up so I can publish it for trans rep jam :D

Since this is the internet and people love to interprete things in bad faith, I've put problematic in quotations, not because I don't think they are, but because I think calling something problematic without exploring how and why is stupid and exactly at the center of this whole dilemma.
What makes this even worse is that Misfiction is a SFW *parody* of these "problematic" tropes that are being pursued right now. Hot take, but I don't think censoring any kind of discussion of a topic, no matter the context, is healthy actually.
Misfiction has been delisted. Because of a kidnapping and stalking content warning (I'm guessing). There's no sexual content in it, hell, it hardly even classifies as a horror game, that's how tame it is. Meanwhile I have listed games with torture and cannibalism in them. (Which is mentioned in CW)
i feel in love with mistrick every since the game's release, and while it stuck with me the longest, all of hatoge's works have greatly inspired me as an artist for the past few years, as it's become pretty much an yearly tradition for me to draw john and chase.
