I have gone outside, touched grass and bought all of my culinary herbs and a few veggie starts and a few flowers to start filling in the gaps from digging out half my front garden. Why yes, I do feel better now. #gardening

Not only did I get a tariff bill for a book, when I disputed it with #FedEx, I got this response. Like... seriously. Pay the $20 or maybe get charged a lot more? There is no tariff on books and the stupid NEW tariff excludes books. The packing slip said BOOK. I'm so mad. #booksky #idiocracy

And there’s genetic stuff with cholesterol. I have the bad genes and was tiny most of my life, but had to start statins really early.

I received a duty bill for a book from Europe this week. Books have not had tariffs at all. The owed tariff listed was his new "universal" 25% tariff he enacted after the court said the old ones were illegal. It is a mess. No one has any idea what is going on.

A thousand times this. I would not do high school again for love or money. It was fucking awful and those people never changed. They got worse.

The cool punkrock/counterculture/progressive/queer part of GenX was very much the minority. I think a lot of people have misrepresented how they actually were then, and I am not at all surprised the majority remained the Reagan loving hateful jerks they were then. Moreso even.

I have told people some of the things that regularly happened to the weirdos and outsiders in high school and they do not believe me. John Hughes movies did go hard enough, imo. People were vicious to anyone who did not belong to the mainstream, and they have only gotten worse.

And now of course. I think people remember themselves very differently.

That was my experience from high school through adulthood. The vast majority of GenX were assholes when we were younger.
