Reworked a poem I wrote.

On the bright side, for the first time in my life, I am seeing more opportunities for me. I’ve been shedding the restraints that have always held me back. Kept me in line.

Radical doors are opening and I want to slip in.

I’ve lived many different lives and I may have to live a few more. They’re meant to shape, break, and mold me.. oh, how they have shaped and fuckin molded me..

The moment I start to decorate the walls and take my shoes off, it’s time to get up again. The house I built is no longer my home and it’s time to go. It will always be time to go..

Each chance to renew my life has come with unavoidable life altering lessons, whether I asked for them or not.

Part of me is left questioning whether I should ever get too comfortable in whatever season in life I am in.

What had happened has forced me into this opportunity to truly assess what I want and need out of life and the figure out steps to get there. I find myself in this loop every few years. Constant change, constant death, constant rebirth, constant fresh start.

When will we learn that idol worship will only ever lead to disappointment?

Give praise where it’s due but remember they are not your savior.

No Gods - No Masters

It’s only been a few weeks and I am not ready to take on another leadership role. I just want something that will get me by. I cannot invest myself into another job the way I historically do.

These jobs will never love me back.

Depressing. Obviously not taking that job for ethical reasons. But I definitely don’t want to jump right into another job that wants me to rescue their business. I no longer have the energy for that.

After my firing, a regular set me up with a job interview at another coffee shop. I entertained the idea because I’m obviously going to eventually need another job and I would love to stay in coffee.. only to discover they are wanting me to rescue + they are definitely MAGA coded.

(Literally for my bday I asked for food and a space heater and they pulled through <3)

Now my fear has come to life.

I’m grateful for my community as they have made sure that I’ve been fed and warm. I’m grateful for those that have done frequent check ins. They have made sure I have been socializing and not isolating. I don’t know if I would be okay without my community.

This type of thing has been my biggest fear for so long. I had never been fired, rarely in trouble at work and never in trouble at that job. I had always been submissive to stay safe. I would often neglect getting necessities simply to make sure I had emergency money put away.

I have spent the last few weeks mourning the loss of a radical community space. I spent 2 weeks being ridiculed by the public for speaking out. This is probably going to affect how I find a job in this town..

12 people are out of a job during a government shutdown down during the holidays because the owner refused to take accountability. My heart aches.

If they choose to not return. They also told the staff they would be closing for good November 1st. After all this went small town viral, the owners took to local news reporters for “damage control” and announced they would re-open… but without any of the staff. They just wanted a clean slate.

I have recordings of conversations, screenshots, and more organized in a document.. After my firing, more people quit. After the remaining workers started speaking out publicly, the owner offered to pay them for the remainder of their week -

Workers had been walking out and quitting due to conditions and one was bullied out of their job by the owner’s spouse. I was fired the next day after trying to show the unsafe conditions to the owner’s spouse.

During the time I was raising concerns, the owner would threaten to close the business “due to finances”. After we confronted our boss as a staff with a list of demands, they would tell us they want to harm themselves. We felt these things were being said in place of taking accountability.

I was fired after speaking out against unsafe work conditions, health code violations, and organizing the workers to confront our boss.. in the middle of a government shutdown down where benefits are canceled.

This strike matters and so do the workers, whether or not the big national media outlets think so!

I told my workers comp doc’s nurse I really want to go on a hike and I would have gone on a couple hikes already if I wasn’t injured. She said I probably won’t be doing such things for another 4-6 weeks.

One month down. Finally got the green light to walk. Re-learning at age 32 is A Time™️. Physical therapy has helped tremendously. My spirits are depleted. All my spring goals required an able body, I’ve been watching my life go by without me.

Not only do I have a debilitating laceration, but I also now have Extreme Allergies™️! I’m also ovulating! Dying and horny!

this has fucken sucked. 2 and a half weeks of being injured. Still on the boot. My laceration is healing too slowly. I’m going to need an mri and pt. I hate this so much.
