Indeed, I feel like a
looking them in the eye,
Using"stop" hand signals
Giving thanks when they behave
Is second nature to cyclists

And I only do a couple of miles on the school run

Three from three please, if you could oblige it would be most appreciated

I do this

In the UK one of the unwritten rules is car drivers will do this to each other, if you give way, then a little acknowledgement

If you don't, you're likely to get eye rolls and a mutter of "prick" under the breath

As a cyclist I do it
As a cyclist a lot less give thanks back

Could #lufc break the record for getting other managers sacked in 1 season.

- I think we can get the ball respector done on Saturday
-could we get Scott Scotty Parker

How many have we done so far? I'm thinking 2 already

I am far from being a fan. The blue Labour bunch in general are worrying

This, from a green candidate is not good, and I hear and agree with the "when you have 1000s of local candidates you're gonna have problems vetting BUT

This is a problem for all parties

To expect all candidates to be greener than green is perhaps hopeful, how the local party responds is important

1/ "This is the pivot point in the energy transition folks. Fossil chaos drives people to electrotech, as this is the first oil shock with a superior alternative. " says @ember-energy.org @kingsmillbond.bsky.social
We argued similarly last week at Wesleyan (slides here)

This ⬇️ is the sh*t-posting coming from the official Home Office account on the 🐦 fash' site in the past week alone. They are hardly posting about anything else now.
Don't bother telling me that I shouldn't say this Blue Labour UKGov is racist. 1/3

This seems strangely on brand for Labour these days

Leading an organisation , appeasing those on the other side for no particular gain . Not giving a voice to those you should be representing

Meet James Bembridge, the Reform candidate for Westminster in next month’s local elections.

As well as this tweet, Temu Lex Luthor here, has also been quoted as saying "Most NHS nurses look like they're eating food banks out of business."

Don’t let him get his deposit back.

Finland ends homelessness and provides shelter for all in need - scoop.me In Finland, the number of homeless people has fallen sharply. Why? The country applies the "Housing First" concept agains homelessness.

“In Finland, the number of homeless people has fallen sharply. Those affected receive a small apartment & counselling with no preconditions. 4 out of 5 people affected make their way back to a stable life. And all this is CHEAPER than accepting homelessness.”

IT SAVES PUBLIC MONEY to house people.

Smell that? You smell that? Victory, son. Nothing else in the world smells like it. I love the smell of victory in the morning. One time we had wolves bombed, for just 20m When it was over. We didn't find any life, nothing. The smell, that sweet Smell. victory. Someday this season's gonna end #lufc

‘Field of Dreams stuff’: will Leeds finally get its trams after decades of promises? Plans for return of such transport have been discussed for years, and not all local people believe that service will come

“The root cause is that the Department for Transport is based in London, the Treasury is based in London, the political decision was taken in London. There needs to be local tax-raising. If we had devolution we would get this stuff done.”

Me i(nternally): what a daft question, what are you even on about?
I could actually use a cargo bike, electric bike , gravel bike

Me (externally): yes, yes I do.

One thing that has stuck me whist canvassing for the upcoming elections is how, in Ealing there's almost a cognitive dissonance around LTNs

There was one person saying

LTNs = bad

Whilst in a neighborhood with a road closed to through traffic and benefiting from quieter streets

#£LTN = good

Nearly 160,000 uninsured cars seized on UK roads Seizure numbers hit a 17-year high as an estimated 300,000 uninsured vehicles are driven each day.

The stats here are horrific.
300,000 uninsured drivers on roads every day.
1 person affected every 20 minutes by an uninsured driver.
1 person a day left with life changing injuries every day by an uninsured driver.
Yet successive govts have failed to tackle this

Exhibit A - hasn't hit a golf ball in 6 years, but I was able to rock up and play a round with my brother and not feel it of place.

There were lots of groups with lots of ranges of abilities all getting out in the fresh air and getting exercise

Opinion: Dominic Kirkbride & Tegan Millard, Green Party candidates for North Hanwell - EALING.NEWS - The Voice of Ealing's 7 towns - Acton, Ealing, Greenford, Hanwell, Northolt, Perivale, Southall. Dominic Kirkbride & Tegan Millard are Green Party candidates standing in North Hanwell in the Ealing Council local elections on 7 May 2026. They set out their views.

One more reason if needed to #voteGreen

Highlighting worrying plans by Labour that could see the closure of Brent valley golf course.

I know golf can get some grief for being elitest but not Brent valley. It's very open and accessible for anyone who wants to play.
