Like, WHY is there NOTHING in downtown rochester? Why do I need to take a day off work to bus out to a store? Or pay extra for home delivery, only to get the wrong items, or rotted greens, or mysteriously canceled orders?

Over the summer of 2025, I used the bus a lot (I don't have a car!), and it was extraordinarily rare for me to find the bathrooms open. Riders cried to staff who often looked the other way. When they were open, staff was in the bathrooms banging on doors and yelling.

Why are the toilets closed? RTS regularly locking transit center bathrooms The scheduled closures cover a good portion of the mornings and afternoons.

I've vented here at length about the bathrooms in the transit center being closed for hours at a time. I'm thrilled @ginofanelli.bsky.social looked into it, and I'm beside myself that RTS has no plans to change.
