These issues are very real, I won't disagree with that. Deplorable too, but the generalization and gender stereotypes were kinda unnecessary.

Yeah, not a fan of generalizing all childless men as creeps, HOWEVER people have been incredibly creepy about Diana. A whole subreddit got shut down because of the sexualization of the character. Another person argued censorship because they couldn't see beneath the jacket mesh.

It also plays into the narrative that all men are the exact same in their thinking, and that nurturing figures and effeminate men don't exist (queer and trans men included.)

As for it being a "dad simulator", It's certainly not, because there's no direct relation. Though one could argue death stranding certainly is (quite literally, too).

I get the sentiment of being protective of Diana, though spinning it as a feminist thing is kinda odd.

I think the quoted post is a a little rigid in how it's worded. But I'm also painfully aware of how creepy people have been in regards to Diana which pisses me off.

For the most part, I've also seen this character be well recieved, and respectfully so.

I'm not sure whether to be unsurprised or extremely outraged that recent child-characters in games (ResE Requiem, Pragmata, Silent Hill F) have been grossly mishandled and sexualized by people online. And I thought niche nooks like Kik were bad in my youth. They're doing shit in broad daylight now.

Bsky needs to stop writing their code with ai 🙃 then maybe bsky wouldn't be so wonky nearly as often
