So it’s not clear to me why it’s ok that one group should hold up a city when there are lots of people in real difficulty.
This is a mess of Government’s own making- they were slow to respond and there is so much more they could do

Businesses with no footfall
Pregnant women about to give birth worrying about getting to hospital
And a Dublin Bus driver who had to deal with a protester trying to block his bus
I cycled through town this morning & spoke to protesters
There are fellas there with genuine concerns
But there are also lads with other agendas, intent on making trouble, one started shouting Labour scum before I even opened my mouth!

High number of delayed transfers = less beds for admission ➡️ longer wait times for admission
Eg. Sunday week ago 95 patients waited 24hours + to be admitted (12 over the age of 75). This was when there was 500+ waiting to leave hospital
This is incredibly disappointing.
Government need to make clear that there will be someone with firm hold of the reins on this vitally important project.
