Thank you President Trump for nationalizing the race and thank you Pop Base for getting the word out.

If you live in Virginia, please listen to our dear governor and vote yes tomorrow.

If DC ever becomes a state, they should yield Columbia Island ans that little sliver of the Woodrow Wilson Bridge to Virginia.

Russet Perry has the best statement on this horrible crime. She centers the victim, not the murderer. She's clearly informed by her time as a Loudoun County prosecutor, dealing with domestic violence cases.

(She's also in my profile banner.)

Pretty much my feelings. Don't hoard the political capital, spend it.

What matters is doing right by the state.

And if she does run for Senate or President, it's better to have more accomplishments than failing to build a stadium in Alexandria.

It's sad to see Spanberger's honeymoon end. Part of it is the massive right wing attacks against her, part of it is just the shine wearing off as the realities of legislation come into focus.

But if someone disapproves but votes Yes on the referendum, she'll take it. That's the near term target.

She's essentially rejecting calls to hire a comms person to dunk on Trump, like Newsom and Hochul are doing.

It's very much in line with how she campaigned. Very restrained, very disciplined.

Is it the best path? Maybe not for everyone, but it's certainly her style.

Twitter screenshot of Abigail saying:

"The President and his allies are talking about taxes that our state legislature never even voted on and I certainly didn't sign.

Why? Because if they don't flood the zone with fake news about fake taxes, people might hear about the bills I am signing to lower energy costs, strengthen our schools, make housing more affordable, and bring billions of dollars of business investment to Virginia."

Good to be noticed I guess?

This would be a great example for a real world souvenir or giveaway. $15 bills with Spanberger's face on them.

They can put the Virginia State Capitol on the back.

These are the non-controversial ones that passed with bipartisan or unanimous support, not the assault weapons ban.

That one's still on her desk.

Huge news for Fairfax. And the right decision. Maybe there's a time when you tell the Fairfax County Board to kick rocks, because the Commonwealth has all the power. But you don't play that card now, for this project.

She's gonna wear out her signing hand at this rate.

But there's a lot of good stuff in here.

The most popular governors are ones who can't do anything in the face of opposing majorities. Beshear & Scott come to mind. Major change unnerves voters.

But the point of political capital is to spend it & improve lives. Abigail has a single term to get stuff done, she can't be re-elected.

Arlington County structured the tax breaks to be contingent om meeting various metrics in job creation.

Amazon didn't create the jobs and didn't get the tax incentives.

Me in 2025: Spanberger speaking fluent French is fun, but it's never gonna come up when she's governor.

Spanberger in 2026: I'm going to meet a different Francophone official every month.

Screenshot of twitter post by Glenn Youngkin: "251 years ago, Patrick Henry stirred the hearts of Virginians to make a stand against tyranny with the words “Give me liberty or give me death.”

Today, Virginians can carry that spirit of liberty against tyranny with just one word: “NO.”

Join me in voting NO on the far-left’s unconstitutional gerrymander and get 10 friends to do the same between now and April 21st. We all need to fight in one direction against this blatantly political power grab that overturns the will of the people."

A desecration of Virginia history by Glenn Youngkin.

Patrick Henry opposed the US Constitution because he was against a strong executive

How would he feel about a President who:

1) Can set taxes/tariff on a whim

2) Can send the Army/militias to war w/o Congress

3) can kill folks on the street.

There's a lot worse than that on there. Lots of AI cartoons depicting her as a witch, monster, demon, etc.

It's quite disgusting. They're turning a mainline, normal Democrat into Emmanuel Goldstein.

But I suppose it's better her then a Dem who could be electorally vulnerable in the future.

Spanberger going after ICE makes a lot of sense, when you recall that she and her dad were both federal law enforcement.

She valued the idea of federal LEOs as dedicated, careful professionals doing complex investigations.

Not as raggedy, thuggish brownshirts flouting the law.

Nice of Governor Spanberger to host the General Assembly's legislative aides.

It's been a crazy session! Now everyone can leave Richmond and get back to other important matters, like our never ending campaign season).

Spanberger at the Lafayette Day celebration at the state capitol:

"Democracy and freedom, not just here, but across the world, are built on a partnership between nations that trust one another and keep their promises."

(Also she greeted the French embassy delegation in French).

I'm not a journalist nor an expert on these things, but I appreciate that these systems are complex. Knee-jerk reactions don't help.

Spanberger has appointed competent, serious people under her. Not people whose main qualification is that they talk a good game on cable news.

It goes to show that you need competent policymaking, and then competent administration.

How does the FBI monitor people who have been released on terror charges? How do they work with the Probation and Pretrial Services System (which is not part of DoJ)? (2/3)

As a former intelligence officer, I have serious concerns. A full FBI investigation is vitally important."

Governor Spanberger discussed the ODU attack on NBC Nightly News and posted the clip to social media.

She's right that we need a full investigation. Not every attack can be prevented, but this guy was on supervised release. He had a federal probation officer. (1/3)

It was a 10-6 vote by the VMI board to not renew his contract; all 10 "against" votes were Youngkin appointees.

I want to preserve VMI. Wins and many other VA military leaders come from there. But it needs strong oversight. Abigail appointing 5 of her own board members was a good starting point.
