Painted when he was 17!
Went to see this last week - it looks great! I love the swirly bits.😀
5 panel comic P1: Title. "HOW TO DRAW A HORSE" P2: "SKETCH A SHAPE LIKE THIS" Beneath, we see a pencil sketch of a kinda squooshed rectangtangtangtangtangle P3: "TURN IT INTO A HEAD" The shape is now a horse head. This shape, it gives head. P4: "NOW, COMPLETE THAT HORSE!" We dolly back to see the glorious complete abomination. The head simply has four legs jutting out of it. P5: A wide panel, showing the crime against creation frolicking through a field. A blue sky filled with fluffy pink clouds fills the background. On the top left, a single word "congratulation"
Horses. Up there with bicycles as the bane of many an artist.
However, I figured out a foolproof way of drawing them, and I want to share that with you! 😊

Thanks Steve, you are very kind, as ever!🙏 I've just finished illustrating the Portman Group article - the last one in the series I was asked to illustrate, so one more to go, as far as I am aware.😊

Nice to hear that the South Bank Centre has been Grade II listed. Here’s a few of my South Bank drawings from a few years ago.

BREAKING NEWS: We’re absolutely thrilled to announce that the Southbank Centre - the Hayward Gallery, Purcell Room, Queen Elizabeth Hall and skaters undercroft - has finally been Grade II listed by DCMS after a 35 year long campaign.

This is fun. You should go draw horsies instead of whatever it is you're meant to be getting on with*.

*That's a lie. If you have important things to do don't listen to me. But this is cute.

[Scene is heaven, in clouds. JESUS, acting as God’s PA, is briefing God, a big ball of light with arms sat at an executive desk, with a computer on it]. Jesus [holding a tablet computer]: OK, so - The next one to check in on is… ‘Earth’. God: Spelling? Jesus: E-A-R-T-H. [God types into the computer] tap-tap-tap-tap-tap. Tap. God: F—ing hell. What’s happened here!? We need to complain - get me the manager. Jesus: Uh, well, the most powerful one is… [Jesus turns his iPad round to show God. We can’t see the screen] God: What is that. I mean, it’s been a while but that’s definitely not how I designed them. Are you sure we’ve got the right planet? Jesus: Yes, this is the… top human. God: Off and on it again Jesus: I’ll book the meteor [Ends]
Off and on it
✏️🎨2025!😀 Quiet to start with, a bit mad at the end, but I’ve done a lot of doodling and I’m extremely grateful for that!
Thank you to all the lovely people who have allowed me to scribble for them and let me do my thing, and the wonderful Scrap for keeping me sane (?!).

Photo of some risograph-printed greetings cards laid flat on a dark blue surface. They feature colourful illustrations of dogs, cats and people.
Photo of an off-white T-shirt with a screen printed design on it. The design is an illustration of a bear-like animal lying on its back with the word "URGH" above it in bubble writing. The design is printed in dark blue except for the bear's nose, which is pink.
Photo of a person's hand holding three vinyl stickers. Each one features a different colourful illustration. One features two animal characters riding on a large dog. Another is a big cat face. The third is a rabbit rolling its eyes and saying "NOPE".

🦔 I had a lot of fun painting this lovely creature in the autumn - as you can see, he only just fitted in the shed (or Dog House!).
🍄 Huge thanks to Annie Laughrin and all the Wild in Art team, and to David Oates for the studio photos.

🐇 Painted using paints rescued from landfill (thanks Seagulls Paint!),”Solstice” Snowdog features some of the UK’s favourite wild animals and is a celebration of winter. There are nods to our canine friends, like Sirius the Dog Star, the brightest night star in the firmament, and a wintery Sun Dog.
🦊 Super-delighted to be asked to paint this Snowdog for the sculpture trail at Hillsborough Castle , Northern Ireland. He's part of a trail of other handpainted Snowdogs in beautiful surroundings, which is on until 4th January.

Here's Barnaby!
It was a lot of fun helping make him last year for the Farsley Lantern Parade, along with a host of other crafty folk. Will he return this year?🤔 It's going to be a bigger parade than ever... only a couple of days to go now!🤩 Last lantern-making day today!😱
