I just don’t find a content I’d like to consume very often here. I always return once in a while to check it out if it improved, but it has always been off.
Almost all people I want to follow are over on X, sadly.

If it would have been flat, won’t iOS just turn it into 3D by itself anyway?
Yes, of course. If one needs features only Adobe apps can offer, than it’s a no brainer to use Photoshop.
I, for example, am not such a heavy user, I mainly do UX/UI, but for occasional graphic design or vector needs, Affinity is enough for me.
Stop. Tempting. Me... Right now 🥵
Throwing away Apple boxes?
Heresy!
But seriously, I should throw out some as well. At least the ones airtags, keyboards, etc… were in 🫣
Take your break, it’s well deserved 🫶
Gonna give it a try, thanks for recommending!
I don’t get why advertisers are paying for these placements.
I mean, sure, I’m subconsciously reminded that their product exists, but is it really worth it?
Freelancing tips? Gimme gimme gimme!
Oh! This one… I used to try to “fix” the shape somehow and try again, but I discovered that it’s faster to just copy the whole shape to Affinity Designer (or Adobe Illustrator) and just outline stroke there.
Makes sense now, thanks for the explanation 😁
It’ll definitely be interesting to watch how product design will evolve.
Been using Affinity Designer for most of my vector needs. It’s overall more pleasant to use then Illustrator and is pretty stable.
Have you tried?
Ok… I’ll be the dumb one and ask… Could you elaborate a bit more? You mean AI? Or?
Component 40 💀
I appreciate your POV. And I 100% agree. Edited posts must be clearly labeled as edited and history of changes must be publicly accessible.
Why is an ability to edit posts, let’s say, up to 15 minutes after they were sent, a bad thing?
Why inability to edit tweets made Twitter… Twitter?
If I’m not mistaken, id selector is more performant than class or other less specific selectors.
Doesn’t matter on modern machines of course, but hey, gotta have that efficiency ✨
Hoooly…. This looks 😚👌
Don’t mind if I save this for inspo later 😅
This water bottle thingy is a genius actually.
I got used to it and it’s super convenient not worrying about losing the cap.
I don’t get it.
My imposter syndrome RN 📈
There needs to be always a dialog between product teams and design system team to figure out what rules to break and when.
Generally, breaking the rules from time to time and in moderation is a good thing. It shows DS team the real needs of products their DS is supposed to serve.
I think that smart layout has some neat features in it. Notably the option to have different spacings between objects in a stack. I create nested containers, just to achieve this, on daily basis 😅 An option of variable gap is so much easier and cleaner.
Well, the whole email protocol / standard is quite old and not up-to-date with features we take for granted with other means of communication online.
But I doubt that something new will replace it in near future, if ever.
Super excited for this! One question… I noticed that Smart layout is labeled as “Legacy” does this mean that in the future, Stack layout will be the only way to stack objects in Sketch? I don’t mind or anything, I’n just curious 😇
Serious question, why?
A few years ago, I was semi-regularly reading UX design subreddit and people here seemed chill.
Is it any different since?
Glad I could help!
Feel free to reach out anytime, if you ever need another pair of eyes and some semi-unsolicited honest feedback :)
Honest feedback:
I click on the link in your post. The first thing I see is a sign up form, to give up my information. I don’t know what your app does or if it’s even useful to me, so I bounce.
Just a simple landing page, explaining what is it you do, nothing fancy, would go a long way.
Gotta promote ourselves somehow 👊
I can’t quite put my finger on it, but I feel the same. I quite like it here so far 😊
