A 4-man set practising Haste to the Wedding, Ilmington, on Thursday. In a busy practice, we did 12 different set dances with 2 repeats making 14 in all. Performance season starts soon.

Practice last night. The dance is Old Woman Tossed Up, a modern Bledington-style dance which we adopted from Winchester Morris.
Mistress Widgery's Lodger, a "new for 2026" 4-man dance with Headington steps and figures. The title was inspired by the late Sir Terry Pratchett, and the tune was written by our own Chris Nixon.

Part of the Dolphin-harmonic Orchestra last night. 7 members of the side played at least once for the dance. We danced to 2 row melodeon, Anglo concertina (20 button and 30 button versions), English concertina, fiddle, and a button accordion, seen here being played by the Squire of the Ring.
