I went to the dispensary today to get some gummies while they were having a 2 for 1 sale, and I figured that my 87 year old mom wouldn't see my social media check-in or at least not understand. When I called her, first thing out of her mouth was "so you're doing drugs now?" I assuaged her fears.

Holy crap he looks like Stephen Miller's decrepit Nazi father.
6 years ago (during the pandemic) I worked at a grocery store gas station. The lengths that Kroger went to in order to pay the absolute bare minimum and prevent employees from becoming full time (and earning benefits) were absurd. p.s. the union "representing" the workers was beyond useless.
The health insurance exec doesn't personally make the decision. It's a cost/benefit analysis handled by some low-level number-cruncher or (now) a program. If you don't have X% chance of surviving a life-saving treatment, you don't. Your life isn't even a number. It's a decimal point.
Reminds me of my uncle Jerry and Auntie Marian. She said they could go visit their son on the east coast, and then their other son on the west coast. He said "that's a great idea, and we can wave when we pass by each other in the St. Louis airport!"
Their sense of humor is what made it work.
Here you go again. Claiming that they haven't "driven sufficient miles" but you refuse to say what constitutes "sufficient miles." Tell you what...you get back to me with a figure and we can go from there. Until then, I'm just going to chalk you up as an angry luddite.
You're the one who claimed Waymo "hasn't driven enough miles." Basically in your mind, there is nothing that will be enough. Even though - again - no fatalities have been caused by a Waymo, you will continue to insist they're "dangerous."
They haven't? What's the standard number of miles that must be driven? And again, NO fatalities have been recorded where the Waymo was found to be at fault.
I get it...you're a Luddite and that's what's coloring your opinion.
With a safety driver behind the wheel who was watching videos on her phone. The Uber (and we all know the story in the industry) was being tested and was not fully driver-less.
None. Zip. Zero. As someone else pointed out earlier, there have been two fatalities associated with Waymo, but they weren't caused by the AV. That's it.
I've been working in the AV industry for 5 years now (though not for Waymo) and my favorite stat to share with skeptics is this:
The number of fatalities where an AV is at fault currently stands at...wait for it...zero.
p.s. a Tesla with "FSD" is NOT an autonomous vehicle.
I have a lot of problems with the Catholic Church, but the idea that JD Guyliner is somehow more of an authority on Catholic theology than the current Pontiff is beyond hilarious.
I hereby grant you the validation you're looking for. Fishing for compliments? I'm hooked. You're welcome.
I did that. I saw some of the worst of humanity, and also a little bit of the best. Then I went to work in a factory making N95 masks and met some amazing people. You never really appreciate what you have until you come close to losing it all.
"So I deleted it...that means it's gone from the internet forever?"
"Yes, Mr. President, now it's time for your Monday morning huddle with President Putin. Yes, he seems pretty upset this morning."
I see what you did there...
I met David Cassidy in the late 90s when I was the producer for a morning radio show. Our boss had scheduled him to come in for an interview, but forgot to tell us. David sat in the lobby for a half hour, but wound up being a good sport about the mix up and a great guest. Funny and down to earth.
A small film, but without it we would never have had Corvette Summer. Fun fact about me...I have a $2 bill in my wallet right now...just in case.
Serious question, God. What's up with leaving your kids alone with a serpent you literally created to tempt them?
(It's not serious...just a demonstration of the absurdity of the Book 'O Genesis)
We'd be more than halfway to the eventual goal of the "Iran Nuclear Deal." It was never about the nukes. That "deal" was a long term plan to bring Iran back into the community of nations by 2035...when the Ayatollahs were long dead and the youth of 2015 were in charge of the country.
At this moment, I'm watching a "WatchMojo" video entitled "Top 30 Times One Person DESTROYED a Company."
Clickbait? Sure, but we've handed the country over to the likes of the CEOs of all 30 of them and then some. The US is in the hands of a con man who has bankrupted everything he ever touched.
A few thoughts. First, rallies where Dear Leader is preaching to the choir in smaller and smaller venues isn't very efficient. Second, yes the D's are all thumbs when it comes to ginning up popular support. But there has to be a better way than selling merch at the state fairgrounds.
Gotcha, suckers!!!
But not child sex trafficking. Anyone else remember that "Sound of Freedom" movie?
I wish I were the vendor that delivered Ketchup to the White House. I'd be getting lots of business this weekend.
How many children have been sexually abused by older men in the last 40 days? How many of their abusers have the full force of the Executive Branch of the Federal Government protecting them from accountability?
I'm just asking questions...
It's actually quite simple. Grandpa is sundowning again. Fragilego Mussolini is becoming more and more detached from reality, and if this were a normal America, the people around him would invoke the 25th Amendment. If this were ancient Rome, the Praetorian Guard would get out the daggers.
You know, the GOP could have been "never out of power," or at least in power for a generation. How? They could have presented all the evidence that the 2020 election was "stolen."
Instead, they settled into minority status without a fuss. That's how you know that THEY know it was all lies.
Been using it for years.
We have a mad king.
