The icing on the cake in Trump/Abbott’s gerrymandering scheme will be when a couple of Republicans lose their elections in Texas in the midterms specifically because their districts were weakened by the dummymander.
It’s tempting to do the “if Biden had done it” or “if Obama had done it” thing, but the exercise is pointless. We all know such things never would have had the smallest chance of happening. And anyone with a bit of sense wouldn’t need prompting to imagine the scenarios in any case.
