Thank you to all participants that joined our workshop ‘Reimagining Order in the Planetary Era: Agency, Publics and Power‘ at Humboldt University last week in which we spent three great days discussing ways in which a ‘planetary’ frame interacts with international order, including international law!
At our last Monday Meeting our Senior Fellow Nicolas Lamp
gave us a glimpse into his new project on
“Trading in (Dis)Order: The Backlash against Globalization and the Future of International Trade Law and Policy”.
With this look into the future we then enojyed some 🍕 & 🥂 in the ☀️!

At yesterday’s lunch seminar, we had the pleasure of being presented research by two of our Fellows Hansong Li and Artur Simonyan who talked about “Geopolitical Imaginaries of the International Order: Eurasian and Indo-Pacific perspectives“.
Co-Director of the Oxford Institute for Ethics, Law, and Armed Conflict. Her research concerns the role of law and morality in war. She develops legal and philosophical theories about how international law can be an instrument of morality in war, albeit an imperfect one.
