If he had a better attitude he would be unplayable

TOP OF THE LEAGUE! Its probably not sustainable, but winning the next three winnable games would really give Kyoto wind in their backs. They could actually believe

Kawasaki looked faster, stronger, and fitter in this game. They were running circles around Nagoya. But perhaps that says more about Nagoya's ageing squad than Kawasaki

Good to see Kyoto can still attract high level players!

Really disappointing if true, he needs a proper send off!

I miss watching the J. League... always sends me back to Japan for just a moment

It's utterly bizarre, but the account is from Singapore and he made some references to my username so I think it's a human.

The profile picture is A.I generated, and some of the things he says are just weird. Like the "call me Thanos"... but I'd assume an A.I would be more rational than this moron

Would they really want to be relying on 35 year old Yonemoto at that point? I know "age is just a number" in the J. League but I suspect just one season spent on the bench could really affect his fitness.

As far as longetivity of veteran players goes, Yonemoto ranks near the top. The man has been a J. League starter since 2009(!!!) but i really wonder if this is the position they need to be strengthening. Sota Kawasaki is a brilliant young talent in that CDM position.

This man is better than 99% of us.

People that say League or Valorant are tilting have never played football games

Late bloomer but the entire English community around Japanese football is delightful. Truly the only community where I've never met any unpleasant people. Proud to be a (small) contributer to it.

Doan? No chance

That's insane to be honest! And looking at that list, I think there are a fair few players that are already past it and will probably be dropped from the list in the next season. I think Kubo could take one of those places but there's a lot of other great players that haven't been featured.

ain't no way that you're sitting here trying to convince a political science student that communism "isn't left wing" 😭 don't be daft please

Dumb for not knowing about the dynamics of local councils in Japan 😂😂😂 That's a new one. Have a rest mate

Is that impressive? Is there some kind of left wing movement there?

The Invisible Star Cast aside at 30, Jun Ichimori found his way back to relevance – and now he’s one of the best goalkeepers of the J.League.

From J. League Regista:

#Gamba Osaka had Masaaki #Higashiguchi and Kosei #Tani, and yet, none of the two is now the starting GK of the club.

Jun #Ichimori did an incredible feat in 2024 - and improved Gamba in the process ✅

I don't mean to sound like a tankie but why is foreign influence only good when it comes from the west?

I loved Nago this season. And his name is badass. Hope to see him play when i'm in Fukuoka again someday

Holy hell. Putting it into a graph like this really puts it into perspective

I'm not big into Nagoya lately but am i correct in thinking that their woes are caused by inadequate players in other positions rather than the striker? Given the fact that Junker and Patric were "proven" strikers already. Also, Hasegawa has to go.

Yeah, and you're from the US right? Makes it even more interesting that you ended up with football!

What were you planning on doing prior to that? Where did your interest in the J. league come from? and lastly, how did it feel to live in Japan in the 2000s?

Do you remember your first J. league game? How was it? Also when was the first time you visited Japan? When did you know you were going to make a career there?

Any Kyoto Sanga news? only outgoings so far right?

Nuclear power plants are not the problem. Inadequate protections against national disasters because private companies couldn't be bothered to fulfill the regulations until it was too late, is a problem.
