65 years ago today, brave Cuban exiles trained by CIA tried to take back their island from Fidel's communist regime.

The US screwed up the op & left them hanging. They were jailed & tortured.

Cubans in Miami felt betrayed by JFK. They became hardline GOP.

Americans don't tend to understand this.
