Kill Chain On the automated bureaucratic machinery that killed 175 children

Neither Claude nor any other LLMs detects targets, processes radar, fuses sensor data, or pairs weapons to targets.

Its Maven. And Maven= Palantir

G.R.E.A.T. ! Fun times, fun times. I don’t know If I ever told you this but I have a chapbook to Sonia Sanchez once after a reading and months later got a handwritten Thank You note from her. She mailed it to the publisher’s address in the back of the chapbook which of course was my house.

We had some great times hanging out at the bar before and after work talking about books and things. Public Enemy was a brand new band back then. Damn, we old!

Chantal, have you read this book? It just came out and I’d love to hear your opinion of the poems.

🧵 Sometimes being AuDHD means you don't have "a special interest" but more a shifting hyperfocus over time where you sort of collect hobbies

get super into a specific topic/activity, often until an expert & then you lose interest or get sucked into something else

& sometimes you're in between them

This is one of the dumbest headlines I’ve ever seen.

I don’t think Trump and his people are capable of engineering “distractions,” I think the mind-numbing chaos we see every day is straightforwardly the result of giving the dumbest, cruelest, most corrupt, most selfish people of a generation near-unmitigated power

You could just google Bartz vs Anthropic rather than posting delusional misinformation. But thanks for proving the point about people being unwilling to accept the truth.

Trump nominated a legit white nationalist to a top post at the State Department. I asked him some basic questions about his belief in the “erasure of white culture”. Watch this embarrassing, fumbling answer. Like he has never before been asked to explain his views.

It isn’t true tho. This is a question of what I believe, it’s a simple question of what the facts are. There tends to be a very strong inverse correlation between people who understand how LLMs work and their likelihood of agreeing with these arguments. I personally have no beliefs.

So much hyperbole in your claims. Again, LLMs get a ton of press but they are only a small percentage of the actual AI that is impacting our lives. I hate data center pollution too, but LLMs have little to do with that. And avoiding LLMss is still fairly easy, even jf it won’t be soon.

Like OP said, the fun is in the journey. How does the fiction aithor get to their destination? What does the destination say about the world and the characters? The point of reading is the act of reading, not whatwvwe happens on the final few pages.

This is a lot of nonsense & misinformation, but some folk seem to have a deep need to believe it. Some models were trained on pirated data, all of them were trained on copyrighted data (which has since been ruled Fair Use). This is exactly the type of response that makes honest convos impossible.

Yep!

lol. Your points are still overly focused on LLMs which are only about 10-15% of all AI. Any even LLMs are advancing at a light speed pace. Claude Code is just one example of this. 2026 will see the introduction of hybrid architectures like Titans-Miras which will address transformer faults.

Again, his point was about good faith conversations and the unwillingness of many to engage in them on this topic. Your description doesn’t match hardly any of the Chinese companies in this area for example. The snark might feel good, but it’s part of the issue.

This is an accurate description of Open AI, but not of Deep Mind or Anthropic. But thanks for making Hayes point.

Musk uses many times more data center compute to run his Twitter algorithms than he does his standalone Grok model. LLMs are only a small part of the AI convo, but the backlash is mostly about LLMs.

So many folks who thought Born in the USA was a pro-America song are suddenly worried about not understanding lyrics.
