ROM in a suit
Made a little @romspaceknight.bsky.social in the new Tomodatchi game, he's already made friends with Olivia de Havilland.
An action figure of a bipedal raccoon stands on a wooden desk. He wears a blue and black jumpsuit--or maybe a pressure suit?--with bare arms and feet. In one hand he holds a long purple and silver pistol with a hexagonal barrel (Shockwave) and the other hand holds a bulky, chrome and red, somewhat retro weapon (Rom's Neutralizer)
240) Marvel Legends Rocket. I looked around for a Rocket figure at a dead point between GotG movies and found this guy on eBay. An okay sculpt, no accessories, and he didn't even come with the right tail. But I found him a few appropriately destructive firearms and now he's just fantastic.

I believe you meant Starshine in the article, not Starfire.

If you see this, post a character from space.
The cover to Rom issue #15. It features Tom bursting into a church and blasting the groom at a wedding, while the bride screams “ROM, NO! DON’T KILL THE MAN I LOVE!”
Been reading volume 1 of the Rom epic collection from Marvel. An issue a night for the last two weeks or so. And I love this comic. I get why it has the reputation it does. It’s superb. Tonight I’m reading issue #15, and this might be the greatest comic cover of all time.
Page from ROM 47, featuring Rom, Brynocki and Mordillo, by Mantlo, Buscema, Akin & Garvey
I was flipping through ROM EPIC COLLECTION 3, and...Brynocki?!

The price is no doubt due to the first appearance of the Rocketeers, foes of my friend and ally, the Torpedo.
Happy actual birthday, @chrisryall.bsky.social! I see now that my armor's systems "helpfully" notified me a week ahead, and my human brain failed to note that.

Odd. Must be a glitch in my systems. That's bound to happen after 200 years.
A lovely piece, indeed.
Hey, thank you! It's this coming week but I treated myself to an early present at WonderCon this weekend in the form of this UK edition of your first issue. I love the "Marvel All-Colour Comics" band across the top.

A render of the ROM logo, lit from behind with red light.
A fake ROM movie poster. ROM is seen from a low angle looking down at us. Behind him is a space scene showing nebulas in reds and purples. The ROM logo is at the top.
Years ago, when I first started learning 3D modeling (in this case, Lightwave) I modeled and rigged this version of ROM, Spaceknight. My coworkers and I were going to make a fake trailer for a ROM movie. Never happened, obvs. Found these while updating my book.
Happy birthday to @chrisryall.bsky.social, former EIC of IDW and the earthman behind my 2016 revival. Not to mention co-writer of those adventures. AND the writer of my Marvel Omnibuses' introductions. Have a good day, sir, and thank you for it all.
