Are any of these men embarrassed to be in this picture? I know Trump isn’t.

An administration full of smug idiots. Please keep fighting for us.
Don’t want to erase the memory. Want lots of Trump lackeys to serve time in jail, lots of time, so we can get a generation of honest government.
Tip O’Neill was House Speaker until 1987. Dukakis was pretty liberal and almost won in 1988. Maybe liberalism wasn’t such a terrible strategy.
Would take 20 Republican Senators. Need 2/3 for removal no matter what route you take. Not happening.
“More recent definition”…. What good are words if people are using different definitions?
As long as you vote, I’m happy. That you think carefully about your vote - that’s an added bonus.
Polling data suggests Israeli public is in favor of executing kids? (That was your example.)
There was an incident in the Vietnam War called the My Lai Massacre. The people who were blamed for the massacre were the soldiers who killed the civilians, not the United States government nor the people of the United States.
Does Russia have the “right” to blow up my city with a hydrogen bomb? I think most people would say “no”, but for some reason that doesn’t make me feel safe.
When I interact with other people (or nature), I try to predict the result of the interaction. “Rights” don’t come into the calculation, except for the possibility that other people will act according to rights they think they have.
I don’t think there is any authority for “rights” or “moral acceptability”, or anything equivalent.
Where do these “rights” come from?
No. That is not all that people are complaining about, however.
For some reason, people are holding Israel to higher standards than other places.
“Hopefully” is carrying a lot of weight there. We just blew up 150 school kids in Iran, for example, so I’m not thinking that “restraint” would be part of our response. Nor would it be for most countries.
Now you can see why people want to be in Congress so much. Lots of power, and in most states and districts, very little accountability.
Sadly, guns in the home is going to lead to this outcome far more often than anything good.
What do you think the United States would do if Canadians crossed the border and killed everybody in Burlington VT? (Chosen because the number of people in Burlington is proportionate to the number of people killed on 10/7.)
No. I’m talking about all of the Arab countries, plus Iran.
Religion does that to you.
Suppose my house and family was surrounded by 100 people shooting at us. After many rounds of shooting, they managed to kill one of us. Should I limit my retaliation to killing one of them, or should I do what I think is necessary to protect the rest of us?
The point was that Israelis are surrounded by a lot of people who want to kill them. Do you disagree with that?
Leavitt probably didn’t say what was quoted.
The people surrounding them _have_ been attacking them - firing rockets at populated areas, for example. The northern part of Israel has been uninhabitable for a long time. What they’ve done since 10/7 seems excessive, but any retaliation at all would have been called excessive by some people.
Generally true. Perhaps not in this particular case, however. This guy is making good-faith responses.
Fun fact: there are more MRI machines in upstate NY (population 6 million) than in all of Canada (population 40 million.) Which of those two medical systems is closer to pure capitalism?
Only in the sense that everybody dies eventually. (Life expectancy is higher in capitalist countries than at any other time in human history.)
That’s true. But I don’t have anybody at all who wants to kill me. (At least nobody who has said they do.) I think that makes a difference.
On average, the US has the highest living standards.
