You know what, I agree! The attributes feel better balanced in Ebb too, and spells add a surprising amount of player agency.
The politics are less fleshed out in Ebb, but I think that's intentional. They feel more like... a set dressing, almost. An aesthetic, if that makes sense.

I have a confession to make. I enjoyed Esoteric Ebb more than Disco Elysium.
Not saying it's an objectively better game, but it is one of the very rare stories that spoke directly to my soul. So much amazing writing there.
