The battle UI being so different doesn't really help when it comes to making it feel like a Pokémon game, but it also just feels like things as small as the fonts in the menus are different for no apparent reason.
Like why is this so unrecognisable and for seemingly no explicable reason??
Playing Pokémon champions, and.. honestly struck by how ugly and charmless it is. Flat backgrounds and textures, jerky animations, even the music feels like fairly bland midi.
