In Italy, since we've gone through Fascism, we've had to implement more checks: the judges of the Constitutional Court are nominated for 1/3 by the President (who in Italy has no executive powers), 1/3 by the Parliament, 1/3 by the highest courts for criminal, administrative and fiscal justice.

One of the reasons might be that the separation of powers is not well designed. For instance, the judges of the Supreme Court are nominated by the President, thus potentially biased.
People will realise that only when famines start to ravage the World.
How the U.S. went from a President like Obama to an abomination like Trump is beyond me.
Mamdani, though, is a breath of fresh air; he gives reasons to hope that democracy in the U.S. is not dead yet.
I'd avoid staying too close to Trump; let's not forget Sodom and Gomorrah: we all know why Sodom was destroyed, but little is known that Gomorrah was just collateral damage. 😅
Don't take any chances. Those folks have firearms.
Closed by Iran or by the U.S.? I've lost track.
And the taxpayer deserves that.
Wasn't Trump like that at all times?
Does anybody remember Trump saying anything worth remembering?
And even if the investment were not minimal, it would still be economically worth it for the cascading benefits to health and well-being.
I have owned my 1st EV for three years, spending a total of about 150€, mostly for replacing the fluids in the heat pump.
And I drive over 25 thousand km/year!
My previous car was diesel; I used to spend about 500€ every year just in planned maintenance, and much more for engine-related breakdowns.
And even not folding in the maintenance costs, I presume?
They are way lower for EV cars.
Reporting the fact to the editors seems a good thing to do.
I've stumbled upon papers to review whose text looked like A.I. fabricated, and I wasn't smart enough to check the citations, which could have backed my suspicion irrefutably.
Will do next time, thanks for the suggestion.
What is the higher end of the Cat 5 range?
I understand that the Saffir-Simpson scale defines Cat 5 as having winds over 252 km/h, but I can't find an upper limit defined.

He should go to the Principal and ask in person. 😉
Future historians (if there will be any) will have serious trouble in understanding what was going on.
Who's dropping bombs today, incidentally?
It take weapons grade arrogance to invent popesplaining.

Trump's rants do not deserve any reply.
