If your MRP has the Scottish Greens on 10% and two constituency seats but still only on 8 seats overall your model is bad and you are idiots. This has been my initial review of the headline figures from More in Common's MRP.

I am worried about our candidates of colour. Already I am seeing the facist leaving horrible messages like "She ain't Scottish!" or "does the party not have any ethnic Scots left?"

It is truly scary.

Also I now have to campaign with another white person due to the abuse.

Oh and before you say I don't know shit about stormont and Northern Ireland, I am from there and grew up towards the tail end of the Troubles.

Don't like my tweets? Move along then.

happen in this beautiful country. We never lied about Independence. We just told you there won't be an easy route.

So how about you come out of the echo chamber and wake up.

Cos it meant bills will not be passed. It means government will stop functioning. It means nothing gets done. No pay discussions. No planning being done. Everything stops. And after seeing how Stormont was shut down twice meaning hospitals rots, schools suffered etc, I am not willing to watch that

News flash, if you consider the ballot box the gold standard, then you need to win the public to stay in power to continue to advocate for independence. If you are the claim of right/salvo/alba lot who just wants to collapse the parliament to get it, the public will turn on you. Why?

Dude, we get it. You hate the SNP, trans people and LGBTQ+ rights. I am just stating about the voluntary work my wife who is English has contributed to try and hold the Party to account whilst fighting for a progressive future.

If you don't believe in that, move along.

Myself and my wife have been advocating the SNP to stop arms being sold to Israel and there is a lot of people in the party calling for that. If you don't like the party then fine but we are doing our bit.

Meet the English-born Scottish nationalists running for the SNP As more people from south of the border settle in Scotland the party is increasingly choosing candidates who are not originally from Scotland

Interesting look at Englishness and the SNP/independence movement, by @leaskyd.bsky.social, focusing on the SNP's English-born/raised candidates next year.

Includes some newly published @ipsosinscotland.bsky.social data on birthplace v. constitutional and party preferences.

Lets not forget about English born activists who are in the SNP as well! Proud of the work my wife does in the party 💛 whilst holding leadership to account. Alas her passion is in nursing but she is happy to be in the back lines.

The EHRC has been reduced to a handful to culture warriors riffing on the court judgements of their peers to convert those judgements into whatever their movements wanted them to mean.

ILGA's annual Rainbow Report highlighted that the ongoing treatment of refugees, migrants and people seeking asylum continues to put these communities at serious risk.

This new strain of “I went to London. I saw some social problems that were the predictable cause of not spending enough on the safety net and on infrastructure. I decided it was the fault of immigrants. Also, London is finished but also too expensive” talk, among other things, is just loser talk.

Why I decided to run the UK’s first drug consumption van | Peter Krykant I cannot stand back and allow governments to be complicit in allowing people to die, says drugs policy campaigner Peter Krykant

Desperately sad to learn of the death of Peter Krykant, an indomitable campaigner who brought Scotland's drugs deaths crisis into the light and kept it there, and without whom The Thistle, the UK's first legal drugs consumption room, would not exist

My name’s Murray Visentin. I’ve lived & worked my whole life here in the ward and now live in Hutchison with my family. I work in the big Asda where many of you shop. I care deeply about our community, and I’m standing to be your SNP councillor to fight for the people and place I call home.
