What are niblings for but to mold them in your image?

For tonight's sleepover with the eldest nephews (8&10), we played #Flip7 from @opgames.bsky.social.

I'm starting off this pack with Hero Cards to keep track of winners. The Birthday Boy started off strong earning the first top score!

No, we just lost on penalties. Caoimhin Kelleher is our goalkeeper so all our hopes were pinned on his performance. He's an incredible goalie and from only a few miles from where you took your profile photo.

No coincidence. It was an Ireland match away to Czechia. We were both talking about Caoimhin Kelleher.

Gutted for the Corkman but he did us proud.

One young audience member lear the valuable lesson that if there is any time to put your phone on silent, it's at a comedy gig!

@foilarmsandhog.bsky.social were excellent in @corkoperahouse.bsky.social last night!

As always, @carlowweather.bsky.social called it.
An absolutely stunning sunrise this morning over the Titanic Garden at the @portofcork.bsky.social in #Cobh's east end.

It would be very interesting if there was a national assessment of neurodiversity to see how many neurospicy staff there are in schools across the country.
It wouldn't even cost too much. Just stick us all in a room together and we'll diagnose each other at 20 paces!

The morning after the @forsatradeunion.bsky.social Munster ANA/SNA AGM in #Tralee, it is easy to spot ANAs in the wild.

Not because we know each other.

Not because we're in Fórsa branded gear.

No, it's the ones making impulse purchases in the craft section of #TKMaxx and #TheRange

Collage of photos of the Aurora Borealis taken at the back of Great Island, Cork on 19/01/26.
There are four overlapping photos in a vertical column on the right and three overlapping photos in a vertical column on the left.
The bottom right photo shows the black silhouette of an old stone cottage minus roof, at the water's edge, with a vibrant green and red sky above. The green is slightly reflected on the water.
The other photos show green Northern Lights in a beam of various strengths.
The top left photo shows the silhouette of a deciduous tree with green beams coming from it.
The middle left photo is a selfie of a woman with curly hair, glasses and a red scarf. In the background, the Northern Lights are a green tint in the sky.

I was contemplating the leaba at 9pm Monday night 19/01/26 when all the local WhatsApp groups began sharing photos of the #AuroraBorealis. Instead, I layered up and joined the rest of the pyjamaed Islanders as we migrated to the back of the island for minimal light pollution.

I was in my 30s for 10 whole years but I gave it up for Lent last year and never went back to them.

I still have my subscription to Millennialism because one must have some vices in life.

My school uses The Lunchbox and the standard is great.
I would suggest sending in their own fork/spoon if texture is an issue because the wooden forks are a nightmare for texture sensitivities.
Definitely send a spoon if they're getting rice as it ends up everywhere!

Norma Foley is a former teacher and she was completely inept as Minster for Education.

I think the main issue is the rather impressive lack of regard for humanity that FF/FG show.

It was all thanks to Jim's lens. He had it set up, all I had to do was align my phone to the eyepiece!

The judgemental posing is all falcon!

They've been very obliging any time Jim Wilson does a bird walk and will obligingly pose for a photo when Jim sets up the lens. I snapped this a few years ago by sticking my phone to the lens which was, apparently, a major faux pas because look at the judgemental face it gave me!

I grew up in Blarney when Blarney was the county and not the city (in the late 1900s, as the kids would say) & always knew it as the motto of Cork but maybe that's because of my city-born mom?

I'm living in Cobh now, which has yet to be annexed by the city, and the shelter of the cove starts here.

The nesting box is close to that. One of last year's young fella's kept coming back and being fed by Dad this year and that seems to have prevented Mom from laying but hopefully next year we'll get some more chicks!

"Statio Bene Fide Carinis" or, "Safe Harbour For Ships" is our motto because Cork Harbour is a sheltered cove. When big storms are coming, we get many ships coming in to drop anchor close to the Spitbank Lighthouse just off Cobh's west side.

Finally orcas have somewhere to park their bike! They've been calling for this for years. Now, who is working on the roller-stake arena for pelicans?

(Apologies, I'm sleep-deprived. Gorgeous work!)

Listening to the #DawnChorus on RTÉ Radio 1 with #JimWilson & Derek Mooney in the background with @birdsoftheworld.bsky.social running alongside it to aid identification is fascinating.

Also, the black-headed gull sounds like a gibbon escaped from @fotawildlife.bsky.social.
