o1-pro nailed today's XKCD "puzzle" - very impressive. I'm not sure if the "average" human would get this or not.

It's 2025 and I have stopped using Google Search. ChatGPT 4o is surprisingly good at finding things and providing sources these days. I dabble in Perplexity, but when I'm looking for something specific and want a traditional search tool I use Kagi.com and I pay for it. Weird, I know.
Moving fast and suffering the repercussions can work at surprisingly large scale "startups" but I don't see how the entire Federal budget and workforce is at all analogous.
The number one imperative of our time is to be friendly and welcoming rather than snarky to anyone who wants to get off the Trump Train, regardless of how we feel about their prior decision-making.
Ooh, yeah, that definitely qualifies and has a lot of the dynamics in place. Tila Tequila for example.
To me, the Twitter SUL (suggested user list) was pretty important in the influencer creation process. Some folks on that list were offered to run ad spots. Soraya Darabi was possibly an example. not sure. Maybe @rexsorgatz.bsky.social knows :)
Oh yes. I’ve built so many useful things! Even though my day job is not compatible with hours of uninterrupted flow, with Cursor+claude, v0/Lovable and Supabase I’m able to ship real apps constantly. Funnest time of my career since Web 1.0 dotcom era.
Via Dall-E just now
apps.apple.com/dk/app/openvibe-open-soc... Openvibe and it even does Threads and Mastadon too!

This is my bike. There are many like it, but this one is mine.
It is my transportation. I must master it as I must master my life. #copenhagen 🇩🇰🇩🇰🇩🇰
Can you be a bit more specific?
Yeah, it is a bit cringe like in the early days of the web when tech folks thought it was okay that normal users would remember to type "http://www" correctly every time.
pro tip: try Cursor and the add Cline into Cursor. you will glimpse the future. promise
Important related topic: what do you use for watching TV/sports. 5 years in Europe and I use Streamlocator and an AppleTV
I’m building a personal AI bot to work as my own scrum master. Syncs with Todoist and Supabase. Uses flowise for the langchain/AI. Bespoke software is where it is at these days 🤓
I can’t imagine morale at X-HQ is real great right now. Elon’s probably yelling at people over Zoom daily right?
Spotify used to "scrobble" to Last.fm but I just checked and it is gone now?
You can bring your entire Twitter history over using this relatively easy to use tool: github.com/marcomaroni-... -- and lots of other open tools work again. It is refreshing! deck.blue for example
I'm getting into it. One nice thing is it brings back open tools like back in the golden era. see deck.blue and skydigest.app for example!
Just want this on my account as well. Worked great!
Been lurking here for a while, but just set up my own domain as my handle which is kinda cool. Very web 2.0 vibes!

Just arrived to college with my new PC but it couldn't do CRC checks reliably and I didn't know why. Had to schlep my desktop to some random downtown Boston office and get my CPU swapped out.

I remember reading a pricing sheet for a Sun Spark server and was offended by the gouging happening. Power cables were $250, server rails $8000 etc. in 1999 dollars! twitter.com/ericvishria/status/18463...
My first computer. Two distinct memories were playing Blackjack off a cassette tape loader and writing BASIC code to draw a box around the screen. twitter.com/HumanoidHistory/status/1...
Of all the things people are upset with Microsoft for, my top one is the absence of flag emojis at the OS level presumably due to geopolitical concerns. 🇩🇰 😮💨

Was jumping up and applauding by the end. For those of us who enjoyed Rob’s videos on AI safety for years, this was a beautiful video. Thanks Rob! twitter.com/robertskmiles/status/179...
