Genuinely one of the best things I've ever drawn and idk how I did it.
Have another bikini beach pic of Erika~
๐ฆ๐ Commissioned by a fan ~
Hi-res version available ONLY on subscribestar.com/ambris
I'm trying to get Erika's webcomic rebooted. Any support on my SubscribeStar will make that more likely to happen!
I am always down for a fun OC + Fashion art meme~
And always down for an excuse to draw Erika ๐
FYI, Hi-res version and a bikini Alt are available on my subscribestar.com/ambris
Oh yeah, there was also this bunnysuit Erika I did a long time ago.
It's honestly pretty out-of-character for her to wear but eeeeeeh, idk, if you bribed her with enough sushi maybe.

Personally, I hear a lot of parents of all ages talking like their kids are their property and bemoaning what you can't say to them anymore. I'm sympathetic to taking hard lines like "take a shower! no discussion!" and whatever else around chores and work ethic. But if your kid is brave enough to say they're transgender you better fucking believe and support them. Just believe them. Let them play dressup and act how they want, gender is a performance and what better time to learn about it than before they're multiple decades down one path. Don't make it a traumatic thing when kids already have so much to deal with.
To get really personal, it's interesting to reflect on why it took me almost 31 years to realize I was transgender. I had a skirt in preschool and got a great education about gender presentation and sexuality from F&W. Plenty of trans peers in college and online. It's hard to pin down but I think what would have been nice was more resources at age like... 6? I was constantly asked "are you a boy or a girl" by random kids because I had long hair. I wish I, in elementary school, had the freedom to give being a girl a shot. Have it be something as normalized as trying an instrument or a martial art. Have peers that talk about gender fluidly and playfully before our age reaches double digits. It feels like I'm imagining a utopia but it's less insane than the dystopia we live in and transphobes solidify with conversion "therapy". Unironically: Viva la gender revolution and death to the cis/het world order.
I shared your post with my friends/fam and had some thoughts of my own as someone who's two months out from her gender epiphany.
Definitely gonna need to stack Hopoo Feathers and Wax Quail items to keep up with Alta
The New Yorker, "Wondering why people are pining for old technologies - CD players, VCRs, Walkmans. What's behind our longing for inconvenience?"
Inconvenience? I just had to dig seven pages deep to find the unsubscribe for one of the four TV subscriptions I need, I'm measured & optimized against in my supermarket, lamps, music, games, and travel. Every service I love gets enshittified to buy billionaires yachts worth 100 times my house.
Fight me! โจ
