That's a very reductive argument. As a parent, I have genuine concerns about the impact of phones / screentime on this generation of digital guinea pigs - with four years of battling through child mental health services to back up my concerns. But sure, I'm just a boomer who hates kids 🤷‍♂️

If they take them into school, they have to hand them in at reception first thing, then collect them at the end of the day.

My son's school banned phones two years ago. It's been a hugely positive move, with no downsides, that I can see.

Alarmed to see this is still happening. When our first child was born 18 years ago, we were bombarded with a lot of guff about how doctors want to "medicalise" a "natural process". Dangerous nonsense.
