We live in a country where the two most dynamic, charismatic, eloquent politicians of this century have the first names Barack and Zohran. This is what bothers the white supremacists so much.
Aww, this such a great little video. #TimCurry, while not in the greatest of health, is still such a wonderful storyteller as he reflects on some of his most iconic roles.
Happy 80th birthday to a legend.

This is as good as everyone's saying it is. The anti-corruption message is a good one, imo
Chile peppers are a traditional part of Indian cuisine — and a key crop for women farmers. They say it's too demanding for men. "In spite of the challenges," says one, "we've found freedom."
So I attended the play put on by the college drama club this evening - while I don't have a high degree of confidence that i know what was going on throughout, it was a joy to see young people having so much fun performing and doing art.
Fantastic stuff.
part one: there is a hole in your heart.
it's 3am. your eyes feel dry as your timeline scrolls past. there is a throwaway line, or a snippet from a poem, or a quote from a book. it briefly connects with you. you repost it. "why does this go so hard?" you fall asleep.
tiktok of a lad in an xmen shirt captioned film bros when your favorite movie is the avengers instead of a 6 hr black and white bulgarian film with 0 discernable plot or characters

A mesmerizing sight on Florida's coast, eagle rays surf the waves in groups, conserving energy while hunting for food in shallow waters. Nature's beauty in motion awaits you.
Just think of the potential shareholders returns by turning the basic necessities of life into a commodity!
I'm a bit surprised to hear some folks claiming Dems will "never" do any of this. Dems have already impeached Trump twice, have made multiple criminal referrals, and are currently setting up a 25A commission. And House Dems have already introduced DOJ independence reforms that are quite good.
In Seattle:
- People bike all the time.
- We have a temperate climate.
- Half the hills are downhill.
“The term ‘climate crisis,’ which carries with it a more urgent connotation than the more familiar ‘climate change,’ has nearly disappeared from media lexicon.”
Triceratops for the win.

Headline on Hollywood Reporter that reads ”Paddington 4, Escape From New York' Reboot in the Works”
I misread the headline as one movie and got very excited for a moment…
A Category 5 storm just formed more than a month before the Pacific hurricane season even starts.
Most Americans didn’t hear about it.
Here’s why that matters—and what it tells us about where storms are headed next:

Remember: There is nothing natural or inevitable about extreme inequality; it’s the result of an economic system that values wealth and power over human dignity and justice.
It doesn't have to be this way.
NEW: Democratic Women's Caucus chair Teresa Leger Fernández plans to move forward with a resolution to expel GOP Rep. Tony Gonzales despite Swalwell's resignation, I'm told.
She is "not backing down," a source familiar w/ the matter tells me. "Gonzales must also go."
I needed a good news story today and thought you might like it, too.
I thought impeaching Trump and convicting him in the Senate was a pipe dream.

Keep your foot on the gas Canada.
Canada’s carceral system disproportionately impacts indigenous peoples and communities. Preventing incarcerated people from accessing libraries is about more than saving a paltry couple million bucks per year. This is disgusting.
