I like how these two sets have removed the negative ones πππ

It sounds to be as punishingly hard as the original as well ππ.
Kept seeing articles on this game, and it made me think of you @ithayla.bsky.social.
The actual article I saw said "A legally distinct X-Com 3", but it was The Metro so I didn't want to link that one.
There's a catch.... It's like the 90s one.

Such a great co op. Love it.
Adding the wine probably wouldn't have been deemed appropriate! ππ
Oh, that's so cool that you found it late! This was one of our really early games - used to play it loads when we only had about 6 to pick from π.
We occasionally have wine and cheeseboard game nights and this is our thematic support! We will aim to get the expansion when ready for a revisit!
This and Wingspan's latest are certainly two that I'll be getting some time. It was lovely to see this get another bit of a refresh after so long!
"I've just spent the most painful 60 hours on this game. Every time I picked up the pad, it took all my strength to keep it in my hand - were the hours going to be worth it tonight?
5/5 would highly recommend."
A hand of cards from Catan and the game can be seen in the background.
Anyone got any brick?

Most Hans Gruber vibes I've ever heard in a real life person.
"And he will not be joining us for the rest of his life."
It works very well for us. We always play this on our coffee table which isn't the best for size. These frames mean we can easily reposition the game depending on where it's extending to - woop!
Last night's game of Carcosonne lead to a whole new crowning achievement.
Accolade:
Being lapped by wife twice on the score track.

Last night, Derby was rife with Gossip, Courting, Games in the courtyard, Cards on the Balconies and social gatherings of high class and intrigue - the champaign was flowing!
Obsession is one of my favourites - it just feels to hit the theme so well.

Winning at losing.
Very fun! Just made me think I need to introduce it to the kids again π.
Just a little reminder I am open for commissions! I recently became a full time freelancer, through some crappy circumstances, but trying to make the best of a bad situation. I now have a lot of free time to make art πβ¨
If youβd like art drop me a message!
When there are 6 of us, New Angeles always seems to be the game of choice.
It once again proved its worth last night with a fun, tense and highly debated set of rounds. The bartering started IMMEDIATELY from round 1!
Excellent fun.

Ancient Civilizations of the Inner Sea was a hilariously aggressive game π.
Just card after card of HOW DO YOU LIKE THESE APPLES!!!
I found it fun... A competitive player around the table continuously suffering the attacks absolutely did not.

Yesterday's big #airecon game was Limit! This was a crunchy beast, which I mainly enjoyed.
This reminded me of Terraforming Mars, Ark Nova and chunky mechanics like that.
The theme is really well captured - I just found the shortage mechanics required constant checks of the rules.

A picture of me in a blue band Thrice T-shirt and Creeper varsity Jacket. An Airecon lanyard is around my neck.
I'm ready for day 2 of #Airecon!
The sun it out, and airecon is a great opportunity to spend no time in it ππ.
I think we're starting the day with Limit - looks pretty crunchy!
If you see me, feel free to say hi π.
I don't think I'll get chance to join, but I'll try and come say hello if I get chance π.
Selection of games being played including Zombie dice, Dominare, Undaunted Calisto and Bandido.
The first day of #airecon has been a pretty big day of gaming! I've absolutely loved what we've got through today - God I love this weekend!

Last weekend we revisited Outer Rim. We scoundrelled, smuggled, bountaid and just had a great old time.

Arnie in a set of ridiculous, star shaped, red tinted, sunglasses The Terminator picks up in T3 as a joke on the iconic, nostalgic glasses.
Assuming you're pointing out T3 as being the best, yes?
We've been long-term fans of Everdell - Abbs got me the original a few years back for Christmas and we've always loved it.
The 2-player isn't really sitting with her, which is a real shame as I think it's a lovely alternative.
Everdell Duo is just right for me. It delivers what you love from and allows you to feel nice and familiar with the mechanics, yet delivers something with a bit of fresh gameplay, too.
Watch out... If you love it for the big chains, this game will flumux you with the sudden round ends.

Funnily enough, this win for Green is probably a bigger hit to Labour than the racist win would have been.
Tactical voters will start having more confidence in moving away from Labour.

Yeah, it definriely felt familiar to me - the kind of signalling you have to do and being aware of positioning.
I think I preferred bomb busters a bit more because of the variance, scenarios and increasing difficulty at a nice pace π.
It's starting to feel an age between each play for me and Abbs, but we got a game in tonight which was great!
7 Wonders Duel is always a fab play.
