My escape room is finally here. Tonight I set up and tomorrow I puzzle and confound.

I signed up for a retreat next Saturday that I was really excited about. Then we got word of a funeral for someone at church that we need to be at. So I went to cancel my reservation and discovered that the whole retreat was canceled this weekend.

Just had a completely underwhelming dinner at Sally’s in Stamford CT. And we got a parking ticket!

We took a Gilded Age tour and the buildings were nice and fortunately Morgan Spector and Carrie Coon were absent so I was spared a bisexual dilemma.

I just saw 2 pigeons getting it on in Central Park so my trip is complete.

I just had a conversation with Phil where I realized he has no idea how much money I spend on yarn.

Uhhh, guys, Chess absolutely knocked it out of the park. Phenomenal. It was such a gift to finally see this music that I’ve loved since I was a teenager come to life on stage. Phil really raised the bar for gifts.

The hotel fucked up our keys so I am standing outside our room with our stuff while Phil gets things fixed. Marriott, WTF?

We got our first submission by a local author that was illustrated by AI. It was a gloopy looking picture book. The artist is credited as somebody on fiverr, so it’s possible the author thought they hired a real illustrator and has no idea it’s AI.
More will follow, I’m sure.

And now I have a stomach thing. Eating ritz crackers and ginger ale and wondering if I’m just not meant to see Chess.

We’re supposed to go to NYC tomorrow and Phil’s not feeling great. Thinks he might have strep. I really hope he improves before the morning!
