Yamazaki San took his base Godzilla design and said “What if we turned this up to 11?” and I fully support that decision! That teaser was just enough to get me hyped! I’m content to stay on the dark from here on out!

🚨 The slowest artist in the world makes a #portfolioday post to remind everyone she isn’t dead (and won’t be for the next 100 years give or take) 🚨

try to stay in the dark going forward. I kept myself as blind as possible going into Minus One, which made it one of the best theatergoing experiences in recent years.

Finally getting a movie in the states so soon after the Japanese release will make that all the easier!

My two cents before we get our first look at Godzilla Minus Zero. If we ARE getting a second Kaiju, I’m guessing we could get Rodan. Yamazaki treated Minus Zero as a sea based movie and I wonder if the poster implies aerial battles.

Either way, excited to see what’s coming. But then I’m going to

I feel like it has a strong first act, but it quickly devolves from there, in large part due to that disdain and the filmmakers wanting to distance themselves so far from what Godzilla is. But the design has definitely warmed up on me over time.

I’m back to having my Legacy of Kain brainrot for the foreseeable future, which means I gotta get some Kain and Raziel art.

Also, wouldn’t it be real cool if we could get a triple A remake of the original Blood Omen? Because I would like that more than anything else right now!

I love how you carried his brow crown into the wolf form!

I think Werewolf Kain is just neat.

Godzilla’s biology and how he works. We get a bit of that throughout the series, but I love the ragtag group of scientists rushing to figure out how to counter his continuously evolving mechanism and ultimately find a way to use it against him in the end.

I just love everything about it!

Shin Godzilla

The way it takes a modern tragedy in Japan and uses Godzilla as a tool to tell an adjacent story with government criticism so ingrained in the culture felt like a true spirit successor to the original film.

I think the main thing that gets me is that I’m not sure that the writers of this comic/game understand what a “Paradox” means in the series.

The ending is exceptionally confusing and it looks like it’s intending to be explained in a follow up, but I can’t help but be confused by its execution.

I do think the plot works better in a game format than the comic. And Elaleth comes across stronger, although it is bizarre to introduce the idea of Raziel having a sister so late. I can’t give it too much grief, because LoK already has pretty slim pickings when it comes to women characters.
