âLook, the thing is, that memorandum was done by previous administrations, very weak people, frankly. Total disasters. If I had done the Budapest Memorandum, Russia would have been so afraid theyâd probably give Ukraine more territory. Thatâs how strong it would have been. Everybody knows that.â
Power believes in rules, preferably for others.
Imagine a system that guarantees security for all countries, grounded in international law and the inviolability of national borders. We could even give it a name: âthe United Nationsâ
LÄt oss prata mer om ytterhögerns korruption, varifrÄn pengarna kommer och kopplingar till Kreml.
Men om han kickar Leavitt sÄ kanske det ordnar till sig.
During 2025, China reported its largest trade surplus ever -about $1.19 trillion.
A peculiar kind of victory for Trump.
I think we can see how this will play out:
Trump finishes the bombing, claims he has crippled Iranâs military and achieved regime change while positioning himself to grab the oil (and perhaps uranium). He declares victory.
The Strait remains closed.
And the war in the Middle East goes on.
The US will either run away but declare âvictoryâ or it will announce ground troops. In either case the war with Iran was lost the moment it began. This is why it is important to declare war based on facts and international law. Without a real objective there is no winning.
To quote Trump: âCountries that are sick and demented should not be allowed to have nuclear weapons.â
(Iran, Russia, US..)
Whether this story is true or not: preventive wars have a pretty poor track record when it comes to earning political bonus points.
MĂ„nga av oss andra har nog kanske aldrig riktigt kommit pĂ„ den tanken. đ
Given the rhetoric from Trump, it feels like someone read the history book backwards.
Economically, however, the party clearly sits on the liberal side. That is why I think political differences are better described across several dimensions than on the traditional leftâright scale. Reality resembles a sphere more than a line. (3/3)
The party that dares to stand there, rather than trying to score points by pulling the center apart, gets my vote. At the moment, I believe the Swedish Centre Party comes closest to that position in terms of values. (2/3)
Traditionally â and rarely outside election years â I like to briefly describe my political position. I define and support the political center as the set of values where a majority of the population can actually meet. (1/3)
He's tired of the Iran war and will get tired of Cuba aswell.
The Iran war got messy. Now all he has to do is negotiate something and fight enough so he can claim victory on Truth Social. The victory of the century. Never before has any president ever achieved such a landslide victory.
Trump brags about passing the MoCA three times and describes it as a difficult genius test. In reality, itâs a screening test for Dementia. Next press conference: celebrating that he passed an eye exam.
80% of billionaire political spending goes to one party.
Guess which one.
There is a gigantic gap between rhetoric and reality.

Draw the line. Enough is enough.

He is unfit for office, grounds for impeachment under Article II, Section 4, and raises serious doubts about his ability to serve under the 25th Amendment, Section 4.
