That’s me too — I’m 6ft, in addition to having EDS. My femur is longer than the room in regular seats, so even before my disability got worse, it was highly uncomfortable. Now, sitting in a spot like that for longer than like ten minutes causes actual damage to my joints and it is EXCRUCIATING.

Kristen also put a note on my account that this is a necessary seating accommodation and that should allow me to avoid this whole rigamarole again.

BLESS Renfry (general phone answerer) and Kristen (escalations) for all their work in getting me the seating I needed. It took me an hour and a half on the phone to get here and they are truly the only helpful people I’ve interacted with. I’m going to be leaving reviews gassing them up.

The first person I talked to at Jetblue said they would charge me the $161 extra per flight because it was “a personal preference” for my body to not be in excruciating pain.

I’m currently trying to reach escalations for the second time. They purposefully hung up on me the first time.

Disabled folks: Jetblue is the worst airline to fly if you need accommodations. I am trying to get bulkhead seating, an accommodation I have gotten with every other major airline (American, Delta, Southwest) without issue.
