I also learned how to poach eggs through this which I've never done before! They were a little overdone so weren't very runny, I bet that'd enhance the broth. Was also surprised at how flavourful the udon + broth was considering you only pour it over at serving time and only a 1/4 cup of it at that.

My attempt at The Cold Gaze of the Invisible Ninja, from the Sonic Cookbook, which is probably an existing dish with a less ridiculous name really. It consists of a chilled broth of vegetable stock infused with shitake mushrooms and kombu, then mixed with soy sauce, mirin, sugar and yuzu juice (which I couldn't find so I just used a little bit of freshly squeezed lemon, lime and grapefruit). The chilled broth is poured over udon noodles, spring onions, pak choi and poached eggs.

A new one from the Sonic recipe book, I've never had a noodle dish with a chilled broth like this before but I knew it was A Thing so wanted to try it out, was worth the effort!

I wasn't keen on the pak choi and would probably make it with spinach next time, but the overall dish was really amazing.

I agree and avoid trailers too, but you should probably inact some personal blacklisting if you follow accounts that report on stuff like this, especially close to release. Officially released promo material is generally considered fair game. A simple blocking of "Galaxy" would've saved you here!

Hello bluesky! I need to crowdsource some help with something video related. A racist political candidate in the UK called Matt Goodwin recently wrote a book with the, er, ‘help’ of chatgpt. As a result there’s a bunch of nonsense and fake quotes in there

(My fave part was them adding a canned audience laugh track at the end to signify that the punchline just happened because you could be forgiven for thinking it hadn't considering it was delivered in the same droning monotone with a complete lack of comedic timing as everything else.)

For my non-silly reply: I had a similar situation with my Dad showing me a joke his friend had sent him. It was an okay joke and once upon a time would've been delivered in text e-mail chain format! Instead I had to sit through it being dragged out to 2 minutes of robotic AI voice and visuals. 🙃

Yeah, at the time it was like "why does the game still let you play the old party mode which is exactly the same but just missing the handful of new features they added" but it does actually make sense to me now; for the sake of online play with Switch 1 owners, as you said with Wonder.

I think Mario Party Jamboree is another one where you choose Switch 2 mode or Switch 1 mode (and that one was a bit of a criticism for the game, since only the main party mode got upgraded to 2, the original game's side modes are stuck at original performance in Switch 1 mode).

Even though I grew up with the N64 game and it's hard to beat its iconicness, I've always loved the melancholic main theme of the SNES version over the trumpity-pump N64 main theme, and I was pretty happy that Zero brought back the energetic pace of the SNES music if nothing else for its own.

Accidentally referencing AI isn't in of itself the end of the world (I dread how many pieces on my Pinterest are still AI despite vetting as much as I can) but you gotta realize if you do it on purpose that it's BAD reference! it makes shit up! that goes against the purpose of references itself!
