The skill of knowing when something is 'good enough' and moving on to another area is a *vital* skill/sense to develop.

Found this interesting. The thesis that AI companies needed human openness to build their models, but will also kill the openness because the relationship is one-sided, is quite apt and really a bit scary.
My honest opinion on this is that you should be considered a senior once you've worked a full cycle development on a project, ie. shipped a game.
But this gets murky as so many projects never end up shipping, and now taking way longer than the previous default of 2-3 years of production time.
Lovely :)
My neighbours teenager below us has just started playing the drums.. not as great an experience, but I refuse to become a grumpy old man, so I just practice my zen when he's playing.
I feel like Blender would be a home run for sculpting, if they just implemented sculpting layers.. still no real plans after years of discussions, hopefully it will happen in the future.
Nomad is crazy feature complete for an iPad app.
The circle of life.
Where I come from, we call that an asshole.
Nice one!
It's the ultimate mashup.
The sort of name that would give the Mars Climate Orbiter-team of engineers serious PTSD.
PDO is quite essential to good hair cards..
I remember manually grouping cards to improve the alpha sorting. The pain.
Stand based is really where we should be by now.
Wonderful show, the animation is really special.
Yeah, and I think smaller teams can now really punch above their weight in many ways due to modern tools and resources.
The big AAA-productions won't go away, but it makes less sense to spend that kind money if a smaller "indie" production can make a similar game that still performs well.
Damn, that sucks..
Hope you find some peace in working on your own things and remember.. this too shall pass.
DEATH OF THE MIDDLE.
Hehe, I recall I let Santiago have one of my models as a demo-asset back in the day.
Still get the occasional request from random coders to use the model in some app/research project..
Intriguing..

Keep adding study material to my reference library. Another classic
Spent the weekend learning Resolve and figuring out editing video, that part was pretty fun!
I haven't cut video since back in school, many decades ago.. however the tools now are really great and so accessible!
Holy shit, this is nerve wracking. I just uploaded my first ever youtube blog/video:

I'm convinced that a large amount of our current issues stem from a general lack of taste and imagination.
There are so many awesome projects and ideas out there that could be funded instead of this soulless corpo bs.
Hot damn
This is the current state of my art/retro games cave.
Having the games I've worked on hung on the wall helps me focus on what matters. ๐
Amen to that, it's fun to show up how you feel best. And our industry has generally the most boring dress code imaginable..
This being tagged as explicitly sexual makes me so annoyed.
Wtf.. adult content?
American weak ass sensibilities. It's an anatomy book. That's a back.
Been wanting to get my hands on this one for quite some time.
Now I want that shirt ๐
Lol, what dipshits.
