This is horrific and ghoulish. What kind of monsters would do this?

Michael crichton was 6'9" when he wrote Jurassic park. Imagine the dinosaur adventure Robert Wadlow could have wrote. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle (6'1"): The Lost World (1912) Michael crichton (6'9"): Jurassic park Robert Wadlow (8'11"): ???????????
When I talk about ghost signs in SF, I always start the story with the 1906 quake. The way the city rebuilt afterwards really dictated where signs were put, and where we continue seeing them to this day.
Our permanent exhibit purposefully starts with the 1906 earthquake, which occurred exactly 120 years ago today. It's an event that still defines the city and it was because of it that the modern-day Tenderloin was born. Only one Tenderloin building survived the destruction: the Hibernia Bank.
Omg
A selfie of a woman on a train platform holding a framed art piece that's about 4ft by 2 ft.
I'm never more American than when looking at dimensions in metric and going "Yeah, I can totally take that on the train." This brought to you by my Marktplaats Night Watch that's 2x larger than I realized. :P
Today is the day:
NEON DEUTSCHLAND is officially out.
The book features over 360 photographs of fabulous neon signs from 45 different cities in Germany. It is published by Prestel Verlag and is available wherever good books are sold.

Nothing like seeing eco artists using AI on social media. 😬
One of my favorite Nick Cave songs.
A woman in black wearing a balaclava sewn from an old cross stitch. It's the style of balaclava with one big slit for the eyes.
A balaclava lying on a white surface. It's made from an old cross stitch and laces up the back with red ribbon with gold tassels.
A woman in black wearing a balaclava sewn from an old cross stitch. It's the balaclava style wut holes for each eye and the mouth.

I've started a new series, an installation (I think) about security theater and Rembrandt's painting The Night Watch. Part One -- balaclavas sewn from vintage Night Watch cross stitches. Each inspired by one of the two central figures in the painting.

I'm guessing someone's grandpa took it home as a war souvenir. Same as all those missing Faberge Egg surprises. Small, pocketable items are always going to be the easiest to run off with.
If you buy this painting are you buying rights to the missing face should it ever be found? www.smithsonianmag.com/smart-news/r...
Wild that Altman is being sued by his sister for repeated sexual abuse and that doesn’t come up in basically every conversation about him. I get that it’s alleged but if that shit was happening to someone else I feel like that would come up, particularly if that person had a history of lying a lot.
To any Hungarians annoyed that Americans are placing the credit for your momentous victory on the shoulders of our stunningly repellent little weasel of a VP: you are correct to feel that way, I'm sorry, we just want to seize any available oppurtunity to humiliate him specificially
Oh wow, that's special.
If you've got an itchy blockin' finger, may I suggest the Eric Swalwell tag? It's a verifiable blue magafest up in there.
A statue of the virgin mary in front of a red sign that says 18+ shop. A red asian lantern hangs above then.
Who called it "AI theft" and not "six finger discount"?
Two small packets of Oreos on a black background. They're Japanese and the flavors are blueberry raspberry and grape peach.
The international foods section at Xenos is the best!
A large banner in a pasture. It's the color of the Dutch flag and says GEEN AZC but the G is fucked up.
If you zoom in, you'll see the G is super fucked up because people keep stealing it. (This is funnier if you speak Dutch)
As an American who moved to the Netherlands --- noooooooooooooooooooooooo.
I have VALIE EXPORT'S Body Sign Action tattooed on me.
P.S. Please mail me more, I'm running low.
A selfie of a woman eating a taco at a fast food restaurant. She's wearing a necklace that looks like a Taco Bell Diablo Sauce packet.
In the Den Haag Taco Bell wearing my Diablo Sauce Holder because it's not available here (nor is Baja Blast) and I miss it.
A hand holding a creamy sandstone with two pieces of quartz sticking out. They look like two teeth in a jaw bone.
It's crazy how much this beach stone looks like teeth and a bit of jaw bone.
Ooooohhhh
Black graffiti written on a white wall. It says De Media Is Het Virus. Someone has crossed out De in red and written Social in it's place.
No lies detected.
I think retreating to the statement "I didn't vote for him, I'm not responsible for this" is pure ego defense, because the people we did vote for were all too eager to surrender their capacity to do anything to address the clear threat this was, or too cowardly to act when it mattered most
All of us are dissociated and dissociating to make it through today. I hope you give yourself and others grace.
