This is like, BARE MINIMUM for being a decent human being.

Nice! I have two (one that came with the Kingdom Ark and another that came with a Dramatic Capture 3-pack), but in some ways I like the look of this one better.
I might have gone for something like this if I owned a 3D printer....and could paint worth shit (hand issues/general clumsiness).
Please tell me she is going to be part of KOG somehow. Because I love her.
A tall, older woman with sun-damaged skin, gray hair, holding a giant bleeding suture needle. She's got a cool vest and cross-body bag that I wish I could pull off, too.
In my bimonthly allowance of a free morning I think about strange, angry old women that go around trying to fix things with giant sewing needles and sutures.
Cybertronian is in fact a word.
Yeah, that's another bit of G1 wackiness - the laws of physics often didn't mean much. π
Oh, he comes back alright. How long he actually stays alive again though depends on which G1 you follow.
Post Season 3 the continuity splits. The west got S4 / the Rebirth, while Japan disregarded that entirely and made the Headmasters instead. G1 got three more shows + additional media in Japan
shot laser beams because they wanted to make the violence less realistic.
, was a big deal.
Transformers wasn't even the worst culprit. GI Joe (which as I kid I love but now takes the crown for "childhood show that aged like fish" for multiple reasons) was even sillier. Not only was it a military show where people didn't die, but they gave us things like M-16's 2/
Yeppers, it was wacky stuff. I put it down to it being the 80's. Violence not having real consequences is not an uncommon thing in kids shows of any era, but back then it was often even sillier. That's why the 86 film was so shocking back in it's day. Characters dying, often in short order 1/
ambitions.
The Cons would have been more formidable if those two had gotten along well. But then, their toxic relationship was endless fun so I'm not complaining. 2/2
Never thought of it that way, but come to think of it, Screamer IS more of tactics guys while Megsy tends to be more big-picture, that's true.
Probably one of the reasons Starscream lasted as long as he did (well, that and the fact that was an 80's toon) despite not even bothering to hide his 1/2
G1, I mean. Other series tended to be better in those respects.
I can understand the confusing part. It could get pretty bonkers, and there were continuity errors a-plenty. I'm no expert on the behind-the-scenes stuff, but from what I do know it's a probably a Primus-damned miracle that it turned out as coherent as it did. π
True enough. That's a recurring thing with Starscreams in this franchise. But it would be interesting to see what would happen if he was more successful.
it has enough going for it to be fun, especially if you like 80's Saturday morning toons. 2/2
Nice to see new people watching my childhood fave for the first time!
TBH, it hasn't aged well in some ways and it's nowhere near the best TF show. Beast Wars was a big improvement, and Animated and Prime are excellent and the crown jewels of the franchise. But I still think 1/2
decided to GTFO due to Galvatron being batshit insane. Starscream going out on his own and starting his own faction could have been interesting, actually. 2/2
Megsy and Screamer's dynamic was one of the things that made the G1 'Cons fun. Plus I like Starscream in general. Wish he had gotten a new, permanent body in S3.
Galvy + Screamer would have been interesting to say the least. I have a feeling it wouldn't have lasted long before the latter 1/2
It's only 3 episodes. If you like S3 G1, it's more of that with a couple of new gimmicks.
Then definitely do Beast Wars. I was a G1 kiddo, and most of my nostalgia is for that era, but Beast Wars is a better show with better characters.
At some point after my legal name change I briefly wondered if maybe I should have taken Lilith as a middle name, though I ended up deciding that nah, I like what I'd chosen better.
Had no idea it was a common transfem name until fairly recently. Shows you how out of touch I am, LOL.
Season 3 was a big change, but really it had to be after the 86 movie.
After an epic, spacefaring adventure across multiple worlds capped off by a showdown against a planet-size world devourer that turns into a giant robo-demon, it would be kind of hard to go back to S1/S2 Transformers.
Best Arcee and my all-time favorite Transformer, hands down.
I'm partial to tough, sassy gals (to put it mildly), and she was just a great character in general.
Also, a VERY realistic portrayal of grief, right down the body language and the lack of a neat, tidy resolution.
Those would all be great!
It will be a crying shame if we don't get Maxima since all it would take is a repaint + minor remold + new head from Legacy Windblade. If we can get Javelin then maybe, just maybe.....
Agreed. I definitely didn't have her or any of the 13 on my bingo card. Then again, they haven give us given us some other unexpected figures I love like Nova Prime and Javelin.
Gives me hope that we might get some others on my wish list like Mistress of Flame, Aileron, and Velocity.
I know not everyone was thrilled with HasTak doing the 13, but on the whole, I've liked the ones I've gotten. Especially Solus. She's the gem of the bunch, for me. I just a TFP Forge for her.
This reminds me, I need to get off my ass and buy the upgrades for Prima I've been eyeing.
But Alejandra, that just can't be! After all, they're the party of Free Speechβ’! Gotta be fake news, right?
Right?
For me, it's my neck. Which is odd, because it's usually my back when I'm sitting down.
Oh, this is lovely!
The flowers on the flag are a nice touch!
This turned out to be pretty fun.

A bit too fun, actually. I spent WAY too much time messing with it.
This is looking good! Wish I owed a 3D printer, as this would be a great addition to my collection.
Really, Animated had the best space bridge design out of all the one's I've seen.
